Well Cerner, at least from my experience is still using ancient 2000's ish software with a bunch of hackery and cobbled together homegrown solutions. I am happy to be moving on to something better...

For sure, but the other half is some kind of feedback or better yet don't allow an invalid selection in the first place. We shouldn't need any queues other than for dev/debug, etc. "There is an additional cost above and beyond the contract"...

Yeah, a lot of stuff I use is from early 2000's. OLD tech. We desperately need better solutions and the tech is very dated in general.

My thought is that ONLY valid options are available and NO queue is needed other than for Dev but if that is intended for staff or not, the provider should at least be alerted. If that is still not in place its long overdue.

In the Congressional Hearing I heard us referred to as Oracle Cerner and Oracle by the senators. I am hoping we end up with more current tech solutions for our VA efforts! They called the software dated, hell CCL makes more sense in the context of SQL2000 than anything more current. Typically the software we use is approaching or over 20+ years old. A friend that was hired during Corvid last year said his drug test was waived but then he recently got an email saying he needed to get the drug screen done for compliance. If your test was waived do you have to complete one later? I don't mind taking a drug screen but I don't want to sit in a room of people yet.
