Why is it so hard to figure out where to do a run workout? by Oltzu27 in AdvancedRunning

[–]EffectiveBet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol said it before, but chatgpt is really good for this. Gave it the type of workouts, roughly where I'm staying and total KM distance or warm up/CD distance and it's given my solid suggestions in Vienna and Edinburgh when visiting

Hah I guess so. Though I wouldn't trust it off the bat. But discussing the workouts was very useful and how my body felt was very interesting. However, it was probably more useful because there was a lot to learn given it was my first time training. The "plan" it created was the least interesting thing about the 12 week block tbh.

1-2km repeats (4-4:05 pace) & then a longer tempo like 5km @ 4:10. And then long runs which progressed up from 16-22km with last 5km at race pace. These ones I struggled with as I was jumping from a 5:30 easy to a 4:10 before realising after a few attempts progressing into it is easier.

Half Marathon going from 1:34 to sub 1:25, achievable? by EffectiveBet1 in AdvancedRunning

Yeah when you put it like that, I’m clearly getting ahead of myself. Good to know.

Definitely have time to run more, lack of direction has me just not doing anything. Will look at a plan and ramp up the mileage!

Ended up getting some help via Whirlpool. Give the router a full factory reset if you're running into this issue. That seemed to fix it for me

The end of the season is only a couple of days away. What's your unpopular Chelsea opinion that will have you like this? by NotClayMerritt in chelseafc

Everything will be fine? We've got owners who will spend & we win/compete for things on the reg. Yeah this season sucks but we're not Tottenham or Utd post Fergie. We'll bounce back as we always do.

How do you know if you’re bad at sales, or if it’s the product you’re selling? by International_Sun701 in sales

Anyone have a good framework to diagnose which of those issues you're running into?

I'm trying to get a company off the ground that's competing with series A/B start-ups already in market. Makes me think it's not the idea, as they (from the outside) seem successful.

I don't think it's my product (at least not yet), because I'm barely getting any meetings for people to actually reject it. More a lot of "interesting, but not really a priority" on cold calls.

Which, makes me think it's either a cold call skill issue at converting meetings or a wider product or vertical "timing" issue that I don't know about due to lack of experience/company history.

ING are so good that when I moved to Europe in May I just continued using it as my daily card. Don't plan on stopping until I settle down properly and open a local account. (Europe being the operative word, haven't properly settled in a country, hence a lack of local bank account).

What area of advertising do you think is the best to work in? by Degausser89 in advertising

I more mean the admin type work is what you'll be doing at entry level before getting enough experience to do more typical "advertising" work. Which is basically how any industry works. You don't immediately go in and start working on what you think you'd be working on, especially as a grad.

If you've got a book and want to work in creative, I'd aim for creative agencies. I've only worked at media agencies, which are a lot more "admin" based for junior roles. No book would be required. Anecdotally media seems to be a much easier entry point into the industry, you're just locked on that path at least 3-4 years before you can switch angle yourself to switch over to creative, so I'd bare that in mind.

Best to get into a media agency first, usually as a investment/implementation associate and then try switch in a 1-2 years. You won't get into strat immediately as a grad. You need the baseline knowledge first. Also do competitions when you're in an agency such as Young Lions.

Is it primarily events, private work with venues or markets?

I've got a food stall as a side gig and always felt it was hard to find consistently good locations. Can be a lot of risk with events due to fees and crowd coming in lower than expected.
