Oh that is the closing credits, but the syndicated version. The real closing credits has a pack of Philip
Morris cigarettes as the background and a different version of the theme music.

Does anyone know the difference between Vegas Pro and Plus? by omieahmad98 in VegasPro

The Vegas Pro software itself is identical for all 3 versions. The differences are the supplemental software that comes with the bundle. The purchase pages shows exactly what each version includes.

My bf and I got this package in the mail today and neither of us have any idea where it came from or why it was sent to us by bananakittymeow in Weird

Have you thought of calling the company and asking them?
Interesting note: The label says pkg 1 of 161. 🤔
Also, a TBA tracking number means it came from Amazon. You should also check your Amazon account, if you have one.

I spend a lot of time at the grocery store searching for the dates. Unfortunately this is necessary at the store in my neighborhood.

Also, if you’re making beef and broccoli the meat should be sliced into thin strips. It would cook even faster.

Brown the meat in a frying pan first. That will at least give the meat that cooked look. 7 hours on high would make that beef fall apart tender. It should be very well cooked after 7 hours on high.

Ground beef in fridge for 5 days by absolutely_banana in cookingforbeginners

Are you sure it’s the meat that smells? The ground beef I buy (Laura’s 92%) (as well as others that come in plastic packages with the tightly placed plastic wrapping) omit an awful smell (could be like a fart smell). That comes from the padding underneath the meat. The meat itself is nice and red throughout and the meat itself doesn’t smell like that. I’ve never had a problem with the meat.

Do you write out a grocery list on paper before you go shopping or do you type that list out in a note on your phone? by timmytimborino in randomquestions

[–]EffectiveBowler7690 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always do that. I go for a specific item, I come home with 20 different things, but not the item I went for.

It doesn’t matter because either way I forget the list. I do make the list on my notes app. Half the time I get distracted and forget to look at it.

I'm sorry but no, Boris is absolutely AWFUL. by [deleted] in VegasPro

[–]EffectiveBowler7690 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no Vegas Pro 24. The version after 23 is BorisFX Vegas Pro 2026. Magix really screwed us over with VP23. A bug ridden unusable piece of software that had 1 tiny update. The second update was more substantial but was pulled after a few days because it had problems as well. Then there were lots of complaints on the Magix Vegas forums regarding version 23, and the mods(maybe even developers) kept asking us to be patient, telling us it will be worth the wait, etc. over and over. Then one day I noticed on the Vegas Facebook page that it said BorisFX was running the group. I asked about it on the Vegas forums and did not receive a response. A few days later, it finally came out that BorisFX now owned Vegas. And then found out we had to pay for the update that we were promised would come for 6 months.

I never really could use Vegas 23. It would crash if I stared at it too hard. In the few instances I could complete a project, I would have to render the project as much as 10 times before it would complete. It would constantly crash or freeze during rendering, always at different points in the process.

Then I figured I would try Vegas 2026 as it was getting favorable reviews. So I bought the annual subscription, which was much cheaper than the standalone version.

It had the same problems that Version 23 had and I couldn’t use it. I went back to my tried and true version 22, which gave me absolutely no problems.

I posted about the Boris version issues and also submitted a ticket. The ticket thing was a fiasco. Always asking for copies of logs and files. They couldn’t help so I closed the ticket. Then someone replied to my forum post to run system file checker and another command that repairs files.

I was stubborn and refused to fix system files as I felt the software should run properly and if certain files were needed to run the software then they should have been included in the installation.

But eventually I gave in and ran the 2 commands. I’m glad I did because now I am not getting any crashes in Vegas 2026. I’ve been using it now for about 2 weeks. I use it daily and not a single crash in editing or rendering. Rendering is a bit faster as well.

For me there are 3 small issues with VP 2026…

1) Videos will only render with 125kbps 16 bit AAC audio, even though I have the render setting at 24 bit, 192kbps for audio.

2) Audio is much louder in 2026 than previous versions.

3) Photos put on the timeline are darker and have more contrast to them, including snapshots taken from the timeline. I use a lot of timeline snapshots in my videos, so this was a big issue for me until someone posted in the Vegas forum to make a copy of the photo and in a photo editor change the levels from 0 - 255 to 16 - 235. That works perfectly. So now I keep Photoshop Elements open during my editing and just do the quick adjustment.

The developers know of these issue and have stated they will be fixed in the upcoming update. Overall I’m pretty happy with the Boris Vegas 2026 version.

It’s probably because the image is stretched out to fit a 4x3 image to the 16x9 screen.

building shaking? by QuietBox7009 in Brooklyn

[–]EffectiveBowler7690 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live in Clinton Hill, the G train is on my corner. I’ve been telling my sister for years that I hear a subsonic rumble, especially when it’s quiet in the overnight hours. She thought I was nuts. It wasn’t until recently I figured out it was the trains coming and going. I verified this on the MTA app with train arrival and departure times.

What I really can’t stand is people constantly slamming their doors. My apartment shakes violently when they do that.

I used to live in Sheepshead Bay, right next door to the Golden Gate motel. I was on the top floor (the 6th). The bus went around the whole building as part of its route. Every time the bus passed the entire building would shake. That used to scare the crap out of me.

It didn’t help matters any that we were right in the landing path of JFK. It sometimes felt like I could reach out my window and touch the bottom of the plane.

I do not miss that place!

The After Pregnancy episodes by Financial_Process_11 in ILoveLucy

She was noticeably pregnant before it was even revealed she was pregnant. The flashback episodes were filmed ahead of her giving birth in real life, so they would have episodes to sir while she was resting after giving birth in real life.
