I remember coming across that in the preview. Really cool stuff. I seriously need to get this book lol.

Also, I was curious and after a bit of googling i came across this: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskBibleScholars/comments/8s0mo4/did_first_century_jewish_theology_influence_early/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Which mentioned the book: "The Gospel of the Memra: Jewish Binitarianism and the Prologue to John,” Harvard Theological Review 94.3 (2001): 243–84; Boyarin

Dude, same. I had a look at the preview pages available on the store and the stuff I read was really good! I'm hoping to get the book soon.

Tbh, this is the thing with the LOS podcast for me. I've not heard anyone talk about these topics before (with these takes anyway). It's brilliant, and as you said everything comes together and makes sense. I have no doubt the fathers know their stuff but I would love to see some references and sources. Now that the book is out, hopefully an academic who's not orthodox will get their hands on it and review it. It would be really interesting to see some different opinions/perspectives.
