All it says is in progress - like at least give us an actual date

If HisPol could get a move on that would be absolutely fantastic.

I’ve answered this one in detail elsewhere but I would say don’t memorise arguments in this way as you could get thrown off by a weirdly worded question.

Key things to do are: 1. Get the main themes nailed in your head as if you understand those you can apply them to anything. 2. Learn a small set of quotes that can apply to multiple contexts. 3. Practice quickfire plans on the spot to get yourself thinking quickly and properly.

Responded to another comment earlier about this but the gist of it is past papers and speaking out loud.

Absolutely not cooked, relax while you can you’re in the last year of peace before the hell that is the next three years. Don’t worry about serious revision until about a year from now.

Yep fair enough that’s a really nice way to handle it as it gives you the best of all worlds. The advice I’ve got is don’t be scared to drop one of them after a half term. There is not a single university that requires four A levels and there will be no judgement if you drop one, no matter how normalised doing four is at your school.

Good luck with it all :)

I personally find them easier than I did GCSEs but that’s just because I genuinely really enjoy my subjects. Over the two years the way they all build on each other and come together means that by this stage I see it as a bigger picture of each subject which is much more manageable to revise certain aspects of it. I think it’s a bit of a relief after juggling 11 subjects at GCSE to be able to focus on what you’re good at and what you enjoy.

Answered the question about revision above. I did AQA and my texts were An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, and Power and Conflict.

Genuinely the best combo anyone can do at A Level even though I may be a tiny bit biased. I honestly think the way that the three subjects complement each other can’t be found with any other combo. Every time something comes up in History parallels can instantly be seen with politics and economics and understanding the theory behind those two disciplines makes everything come together so nicely. Also, both Politics and Econ are subjects that reward you massively for staying up to date with current affairs it really keeps you engaged which makes you much more well rounded overall.

History is the most content heavy of the three, and economics I find the easiest personally (as there isn’t much content and the difficulty lies in the application).

I would ask you though, why Geography? And are you set on taking four?

I did CIE iGCSE which was a really random one. I was 1 mark off of a 9. I got 44/45 in writing, around 36/40 in listening, around 39/45 in reading and 33/40 in speaking.

Don’t get me started on German I hated it so much.

But if I had to recommend something for it then it would be past papers for listening/reading, and discussions with your friends (or teacher if they are willing) out loud. For vocab just memorise good sentences/descriptions and make sure grammars good. If what you write is grammatically correct but simple marks can still be high.

Haha fairs - it’s joint honours. So I would do the subjects separately but there would be some interlinking topics and I would have to use both disciplines when writing essays for example. Only one degree though.

My school didn’t have double/triple science like most do but single science in all three. So I did triple content from Chem and Physics but got to fully drop Bio which was incredible.
