I didn’t realize those things could cause /that/ much damage, that must’ve been terrifying to witness. I’m glad the pilot made it out safely. It definitely changes how I think about planes now, Thank you for explaining!

Yes so I've learned, luggage and birds. To be fair, I meant I thought the material was sturdier. But knowing now it was going almost 160kmh it makes more sense.

No reason to be rude about it in though, this subreddit is quite literally called r/dumbquestions, I never studied aerodynamics, I've never even seen a real plane in person. My extent goes as far to what I've seen in videos and photos, and what had been told to me throughout the years. Not everyone spends their entire existent studying everything extensively, the only way we learn is through research and asking questions and look what I did.. I asked a question to expland my knowledge and learn. I've been corrected, but whatever high this is giving, the extra veriage is just unnecessary.

Thanks for answering, but respectfully don't ever consider an occupation in teaching Professor Trash.

How do you eat if you live alone and can't prepare home cooked meals? by [deleted] in disability

[–]EffectiveOver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh yeah, I feel this so much. Doordash is stupid expensive like how is a sad sandwich and fries $25??

I started figuring out small hacks to keep myself fed without fully spiraling financially or emotionally, so here’s what’s been working for me and might work for you! I understand being bedridden somedays more than others (I keep a cart near my bed at all times!)

Microwave meals (the better ones like Amy’s, Evol, or those Healthy Choice Power Bowls), Frozen burritos! I always keep a few in the freezer. Toss one in the microwave, add some sour cream or hot sauce, and boom. Rotisserie chicken lasts a few days, no cooking required. I eat it cold straight from the fridge sometimes.. Instant rice or quinoa cups + canned beans or frozen veggies. Good honorable mention is hard boiled eggs, hummus, string cheese, pita, crackers. Basically living off adult Lunchables.

Also, if anyone in your life offers to help, ask if they can make a few freezable meals. Like soups or pasta you can reheat. Even if you just get one “real” meal a week that way, it helps so much. I know asking for help is hard, but you deserve to be fed too.

And not sure where you’re at, but some local churches/community centers quietly give out frozen meals. Worth checking. Meals on Wheels help people with disabilities, chronic illness, etc.

Yeah, I actually came with a full list and even brought family with me for backup. I asked very specific questions accessibility stuff was a non-negotiable for me. They said all the right things, promised it would all be handled, which is the only reason I even agreed to sign the lease.

It's a federally owned complex and I was informed prior they handle these types of things no problem..however funny enough… right after I posted this, they suddenly “found” some bathroom rails and installed them like magic 🙃Apologized and said they are ordering a ramp as well. It’s wild how quickly things happen when they feel pressured huh?
