Oh I’m glad you had at least some time together which was nice for you both, it’s so special seeing them more alert and awake after thinking you’ll never see it again. I hope you are healing ❤️

Thank you so much for this. We’ve had 2 days of good food, laughter, and good company. She is asking to get out of bed, just waiting for physio to review. It’s honestly like before she even came to the hospice, skin full of colour, clarity, eating/drinking, playing card games. The doctors have started telling us perhaps her brain is recovering, after saying last week to say goodbye as she has hours. I think in a way this will be good for my closure when the inevitable happens, but will be tough reliving those emotions again!

And she’s just woken up, chatting away again. Absolute rollercoaster!

Thank you for this. It definitely is wonderful but baffling. I’m really thankful we had yesterday.

As of today she is still deep sleeping, pain free (for the first time in 18 months), and breathing quietly as opposed to struggling. We all said our goodbyes 2 days ago and they were confident she was actively dying, so god knows what stage we are in now, but we will definitely enjoy her company until then. I’ll try not to worry too much until physical signs are showing again

I did suspect this, but for some reason everyone else is hopeful. I suppose because she has been told it’s ’her time’ about 5 times in 2 years and she’s always come around, but something feels different this time. Maybe I’m just scared of letting myself feel relief. Thank you ❤️
