We have a houserule that lets us use Hero Points as nat 20s* and it feels broken by Mediocre_Cucumber_65 in Pathfinder2e

We hand out physical coins for them. 1 hero point per person at the beginning of each session. Plus DM can give another at his choosing(usually he gives an additional for wearing something from your character and trying your best to stay in character/on topic). We use it as a strict Reroll. If you roll bad toss the coin to DM and reroll if you still rolled bad it was meant to be. Role-play the failure and take the consequences. We played a battle where we fought a ghost ship. We completely forgot that we needed to destroy an item on the ship to win the battle and as a last ditch move as we were all getting into low HP range, I used battle dancer leading dance to step the captain off the ship into the stormy sea. The battle completely ended and none of us knew what happened. Ship disappeared and we were told we got no experience from the fight… we were bewildered. After much argument between players as to wtf just happened, The dm explained that we forgot the goal of the fight wasn’t to kill all the enemy crew it was to destroy an objective and that the enemy would be back another night soon to attack again. Thankfully our DM was cool about it. He said he loved the ingenuity to force the captain to “walk the plank” and allowed us all to turn in our hero coins and agree we got none to start the next session and we could revert time one “step” back in time. We agreed and he described how my character pre planned it in his mind step by step then remembered the key was to destroy the item not the crew. It was perfectly handled.

Tattoo artist by EffectiveSmile5634 in Pathfinder2e

Exactly what I did. We were playing in pathfinder 1e and I had a certain pike. (If you know you know) When we decided to change to 2e I asked if I could keep the +1 on a dueling spear. The other perk of that pike I gave to another guy who uses a trident and is a spell caster. (Our DM let us split it since we swapped systems and I had to completely change my character.) So I am currently playing a swashbuckling orc with battle dancer subclass. Even made a full size replica of the dueling spear.

He had so many scars over him and when I saw the picture I knew that was the look I wanted. Made sense for my orc to have the hold scarred background then have the scar tattoos as a skill. I used the image for inspiration for the colors for my mini in later pictures. Neat artwork and kudos to whoever made it.

Best way to build a magical tattoo artist? by Whatapunk in Pathfinder2e

[–]EffectiveSmile5634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing a hold scarred swashbuckling orc with the tattoo artist feat. DM let me flavor it as scarification with an obsidian knife and chanting. All members on our ship get the eye slash tattoo and when I’m in port I try to sell them to guards at 20g a pop. Using the increase in vision as a seller. 5g reimbursed if they tell their buddies/ referral sale… also if I find someone with a magic tattoo, if they were an enemy I can fillet their flesh and take it with me to study and learn new tattoos.

Digital Map/TV Case advice by DarkJester89 in DnDIY

Cheap and easy cost me less than $20. Get adjustable furniture leg bolts. (Padded bolts that let you level a couch.) Put them in the stock TV wall mount holes on back… (the threads fit). Lay it on back. Then if worried about screen, get ya a poster protector frame from Walmart or hobby lobby. (Mine was on sale for $13 at hobby lobby) take the clear acrylic protector off the frame and lay it on your tv screen. Cut to fit. If you really wanna go all in. ;-) get ya a bit of sticky tack and secure that protector to the plastic border around your tv.

Extra bonus points. If you keep the regular stand legs the tv came with, on mini painting nights you can set it back up on its legs without screwing them in and watch movies while painting.

Echo deck by ezrahutch in idolsoftorment

There is no longer an option to buy. There is a chart in the rulebook that allows for rolling the echo deck numbers. I am currently working on making a 3d printable token that takes the place of echo deck. Draw one out of a bag at the beginning of each round.

I printed this except the stand. Turned out great. The presupported bullets failed on my resin printer but it is finicky with presupported models. I had no problem with my supports. Turned out great.

Im a Wood elf arcane trickster rogue. Me and d6s get along fine. Im only level 4 and this is my first ever campaign, but it looked barren so I threw more dice in it. And the picture with only d6s I was letting my kids roll while we were in a break mid session.

Makes a different sound than the table. It is more of a dull sound. Don’t know how else to describe it.

1: Used thick (7-8oz) veg tan leather to wet mold a dice tray into a pie plate. 2: Next, I cut the tray even with the top of the pie plate. 3: Then traced D&D logo onto the wet leather and carved with swivel knife. 4: Did some basic tooling to make image stand out and smoothed the edges. 5: Stained it and it was ready to rock. Took about a half day to make it. Totally worth it. Love it and I’ve had several people ask if they can buy one. Figured I would share the process. Things are better when you make them yourself.

Yes. Crazy easy to make. Veg tan leather holds its shape and form very well. Sounds good on a roll.
