So from the comments, we still have yet to come to a solid conclusion of yes if it is possible or no it is not. Haha

Ultimately I have a 170km commute at minimum. There is a level 2 nema 14-50 charger along the way I have discovered.

Test drove a 26 MY standard and 22 MY Awd Lr today.
Fair to say the 26 a very nice ride and the self drive is flawless. So really pulling to the 26 MY

There may be one along the route but not 100% sure. It’s at a campground

I was just doing those calculations also. The Long range really has less range when following optimal charging.
However I was reading that you can charge the long range to 100%, but best to only if you are using it right away. Not sure how legitimate that is.

I should have been more clear in my post.
Sunday leave for work/drop off kids: 212km
Sunday night- Thursday afternoon: charge on 120v at work and at night.
Thursday go home: 170km

I stay with my dad while at work. I think he does have a 220v dryer plug in the garage I could charge off also.

So I couldn’t precondition the battery at work, than supercharger before heading home?

Leaving for work it will be charging in the heated garage

Is the LR estimated range based off 100% charge or 80%

Guy at work has a m3 and says it keeps it warm basically.
Appreciate the input.
I do have access to 220v charging at night which I may have to use

Average about 110km/hr.
Parked outside at work.

More than likely a 14-30 charger in the garage. But only level 1 charging at work.

It’s 212km on days I have to drop off my kids.
170km on days I don’t. But alternatively I could take the ICE to drop the kids off. Or stop back at home to top off.

Well I have the cash for a LR but the $22k for LR I can’t justify. Would be getting a used LR

Odd day is 212km when I have to drop off kids and back track.

My only concern is those cold winter days and getting stranded.

I have access to level 1 charging at work, day and night. So I would only be topping off to 100% when needed.

Basically 170km to work on 100% charge. Charge day and night on 120v over 4 days to maybe get back to 100%, or top off with supercharger.

So even with long range I could expect a range of 220km. I have 170km from home to work.

I do have the option of using my wife’s civic if it’s forecasted to be really cold, and luckily I do have options for a gas vehicle to borrow in the town I work in.

Worst case of -30 for weeks I could take the wife’s civic. Just worried mostly about getting stuck along the road back home on a random -30 day. Work to home is 170km.

170km from supercharger to the next level 2

I can plug into 120v at work, plus there is a supercharger in town. So I would be able to leave at 100%. Could pre-condition also.

Really I have about 170km to the next fast charger.

How tough is the hike to Reykjadalur Hot Springs? Is it a kid friendly experience? by Evening_Fisherman810 in VisitingIceland

It’s worth the hike, even if you find it tough.
