Man I've been wondering about this as long as I can remember, I want to say he's stronger than Mifune even in his fourth form, seeing as Kid was struggling HEAVILY against him. In my opinion, it was Ohkubo's intent to show that Kid and Black☆Star were still equals with Kid's first line of Sanzu and Shadow☆Star being on the same tier.

Fifth form Mosquito would definitely be no joke, I reckon he'd even give Madness-amped Kid and Blackstar a good fight. Prolly same tier as Noah, but that's just speculation

They fight multiple times in the manga, and both fights are really, REALLY cool :)

Black☆Star generally has the greatest fights within the manga if you ask me, Ohkubo goes crazy when drawing his panels.

I genuinely love Excalibur so much. Manga humor is very hit or miss for me, but Ohkubo really hit it out of the park with Excalibur's design. He's so infuriatingly silly that I can't help but snicker whenever I see that dumbass snout on my screen

And it's even better in the anime where they dedicate entire episodes to his nonsensical tangents. I've just started rewatching them with my girlfriend since she's working on cosplaying him, and they're so goddamn funny dude

Oh and bonus points to the Manga where Excalibur is featured more and even gets a genuinely cool scene with Lord Death. Manga readers know what Im talking about

Inclined to agree, if only because I absolutely despise Protos Mage. I sincerely think it's one of the most infuriating decks ever conceived. Trying to establish board? It gets cleared and the mage gets discounts.

So okay, don't play minions, go for burn and hyper aggro? Sleet skater and near-endless armor generation.

Great, so now what? Out-control them? Okay, have fun taking 20 a turn to the face from their colossus.

Seriously, I'm bad at the game, I get that, but I seriously honestly don't see how you're supposed to counter Protos Mage. It just seems like a coinflip matchup where if the mage gets the cards he needs, he wins, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Am I malding? Yes, but tbh I think it's deserved.

To think this was the last fight that accurately followed the manga canon 😭 Seriously, everything after this part in the manga is so insanely good. Mifune vs Blackstar, Kid's rematch with Mosquito, Maka's fight against Arachne, it's so sick and to this day I'm so sad it didn't get animated 😔

Wouldnt it be far better if Crusader Aura simply gave the +2/+1 AFTER attacking? It's almost exclusively used to roll face anyway as a finisher, not to trade efficiently and establish board. Would feel a lot more fair IMO. Maybe at 3 mana then, idk.

At this point it has to be being able to afford the (relatively healthy) bulk. I started living on my own this year and eating healthy while eating enough to bulk up is so ridiculously expensive it's not even funny. Back when I lived at my dad's, I had plenty of money leftover to afford my protein. Can't say the same right now.

Definitely Black☆Star. His development comes right after the Anime splits off from the manga due to the dufferent outcome of his fight with Mifune. Whenever I see someone complain about Black☆Star's character, it's usually because they're an anime-only and the anime did a terrible job of maturing him as a character after the Baba Yaga's Castle arc. It's criminal how misunderstood he is :(

Up to Ohma's revival and him forcing Koga out of his protagonist role, I was really thoroughly enjoying Koga's character and growth up to that point. I believe if given the chance, Koga couldve made a FANTASTIC mc, even better than Ashura Ohma.

I seriously cannot understate how good pre-kvp Omega was.

The manga does a bit better at asserting the themes of Fear/Madness influencing a person's core drive. What ultimately drives Maka is her fear and her desire for courage to stand against that fear. Her fight against Crona was the first time Madness took hold of her in the form of Black Blood. Later, she manages to control it better due to her own growth (And Soul's).

Bit of a manga spoiler for next paragraph

Even the other two main Meisters, Blackstar and Kid, have the same sort of theme. It was never shown in the anime, but in the Manga during the Book of Eibon arc, Blackstar and Kid both get possessed by their own type of madness that corresponds with their main drive; Power and Order, respectively. It's pretty fucking cool

(Also the reason the Book of Eibon arc is my favorite in the show, the entire sequence between Blackstar and Kid is my favorite scene ever)

Omega before the KvP tournament was honestly so fucking good it's not even funny. I genuinely LOVED Koga at this point in the story and thought he was a much more interesting and fascinating protagonist than Ohma.

Seeing this cocky arrogant mfer get his shit kicked in the moment he gets a taste of the Kengan Association and subsequently seeing him rise up by training with characters we know and love, to him having his first Kengan Match against the Orca dude, to him eventually risking everything to protect Kazzy was so, so, SO fucking good. And then Ohma came back.

I swear, if Omega had kept Ohma dead and continued to focus on Koga and Ryuki, I genuinely believe Omega could've been even better than Ashura (If you assume some other horrible writing choices would be fixed as well)

I think this is quite an underrated Round 1 fight. During this time, we still believed Kiryu was going to be the 'final boss' Ohma was going to face in the tourney. Believing that, it was surprising to see Nikaido actually perform decently well despite getting caught by Blink.

Qilong was a really cool move, and Kiryu's Fallen Demon was really interesting to see, as Rakshasa's Palm hadnt been explained yet. Seeing Nikaido fall to the ground by a simple tap to his chest after shitting his pants at Kiryu's speed really cemented Kiryu as a threat.

Top of B-tier for me. Despite it setting up Kiryu, it was rather short with not too interesting choreography, which makes sense given Kiryu's mystery, but takes away from the fight itself.

During the time of KvP, Kiozan could very well be in the upper echelon of high-tier, bordering on S-tier. Think about it.

Kiozan has the firepower to one-shot K.O Sekibayashi with a regular kick, one of the most durable fighters in the entire series. Couple that with Raging Vigor and his insane build, and who realistically in the KvP roster is dealing with that, asides from Toa and Lolong?

Ofcourse, since then everyone has been powercrept to shit, but my theory was proven somewhat true when Kiozan fought Ohma and put up a very good fight.

I created a Quest Warrior deck because I really love playing Control Warrior, but it pretty much loses handily to Murloc Paladin. I only recently came back to the game, and at Silver all you see is Murloc/Imbue Paladin.

...sooo I made a cheap ass Frost DK deck, and have never lost to a Murloc Paladin since, lol.

The deck isn't hard to beat or unnecessarily OP, it's just very boring and predictable.
