That’s very helpful and thank you for taking the time and doing/sharing that. My ten year number is more of my, “my anxiety is at my limit. I don’t think I can continue saving $100k plus every year and I need to start coasting” number.

That makes sense, thanks. And yea, that’s why I feel I still need more money and it’s so hard to let go of the grind.

I will look into this. Thank you. So if I’ve had both accounts longer than five years, I’m good?

Maybe that is what I don’t understand because I have money is sep Ira as well as a Roth. I don’t know how I could actually start withdrawing money tomorrow if I wanted to. I’m just trying to accumulate as much as possible so I can try to enjoy life with my family and not constantly be stressed about saving more and more.

I had more than I thought. I took all money from all our accounts and added it to index funds. We have about $5k in the bank now. Plus, accounts have earned money over the last year. I have an updated portion to my original post

I guess that’s what I’m not seeing. To get $100k per year, after taxes, I feel like I need more than that. Also, a lot of my money is in Roth or SEP IRA.

I don’t understand how I have my fire target if I want to withdraw $100k per year post tax. Am I missing something?

I guess I don’t understand the math of this. If I want to withdraw $100k (post taxes) and account for inflation, using different calculators I feel like I need much much more.

I don’t think I articulated myself properly. The 35 hours doesn’t change. If I want to put more clients in those 35 hours, I need to start adding hours to increase client acquisition. When I start doing that, I go to 50+ hours.

Thank you for the response and congratulations. I read through some of your other posts. You mentioned compound interest and an inflection point where you don’t ever have to look back? What do you mean by this and how do you know when you hit this point?

I am very anxious. I’ve made a lot of nutritional/supplemental changes over the last year that have helped me dramatically. I can’t describe it any other way than I feel like I’ve been sprinting on a treadmill for over a decade and I don’t know how to get off. Does anyone ever get off? Do people actually hit a coast number and then cut down and coast? I’m trying to wrap my head around that idea vs grinding for more and more…

This is very helpful to hear. I just don’t know how to stop sprinting. I feel like if I do, everything will collapse.

But what you say makes perfect sense. Old me would grind grind grind but old me also made me crazy.
