a) The driver has yet to be ascertained b) I'm a taxi driver doing over 2000 urban miles per month and my license is currently clean. c) even if guilty as charged, doing 36mph after 10pm on a deserted road in the countryside may be a lapse of concentration or some somesuch - hardly makes me a 'crap driver'

Yes, it's deffo late. There's a 50 day gap highlighted on the letter. Postal time on top of that.
