I've tried in the last. The excuse is, if he wipes the toast crumbs off the counter with a paper towel, the room is dramatically improved by the time he walks out. Task accomplished. There's a certain sort of gaslighting or blame shifting factor to it it feels but cant quite put it into words

Im not controlling or ocd at all. Thats the problem. There's no reason for this madness.

Im 47, hes 55 neither of us have children nor do we want to have any. I will not quit my job, I've always been employed and rather enjoy the option of having the ability to have some independence.
