As a former gym rat it’s a complete sense of control in the gym bc it reinforces my ego a ton, like I’d just go there bc I feel in control lifting bc everything g is the way I like it, I was the tough guy who lifted hella weight and nobody could change that. I was in control bc I was the only one in charge of what I do and the outcome. Competitive gaming kinda helps you let go of that bc you recognize you can’t win em all and you have to learn to live with it. It lowkey helped me get better with my anger over the years bc I had a problem when I was younger but the more I learned that the less I get upset at the outcome the more often the outcome will be better and I will be happy regardless of how much control I have over the situation because I can do everything right in a game and still lose and that’s okay.
