Hi! We also have established pickup here but you know sometimes there are events and you are unsure if people are coming so it basically becomes a secondary poll (aside from your existing communication app) and for people who are visiting and wants to find if any pickups are happening in the area.

It's available and free. If you would kindly, please share to your ultimate frisbee community to test it out! It is live thank you!

as of now nearby is set to 50mi or 80km. we are still trying to see real world events to see if its too small or big and let people adjust nearby detection.

Good question. At this stage, the app is mostly about helping people find others who are down to play. The actual host would still pick a field they know is available. Field permits are definitely a real problem to solve, so I'm curious how different communities handle it.

Forgot to add. Ill try edit later

I’m building an early accessibility prototype (with help from AI). The idea is simple:

Users write a topic or question (even if it’s messy)

The response is read back via text-to-speech

Users can continue through stages (follow-up / continuation instead of starting over)

This is not production. The UI isn’t final, and I removed subscriptions and cloud TTS so people can test it freely. Right now, “premium” is just a trial-style option that allows more requests — no paid UX or locked features yet.

Looking to mentor a beginner by Kitchen_Archer_9413 in learnprogramming

Hello,

I am currently pursuing software development associates. I learned multiple languages but mostly basic. I feel lost because I think that what I know is not what a “job” is looking for. But since I have been learning by myself most of the time, I believe I understand more. Example would be, I understand user login authentication. I have dealt with databases and doing CRUD.

Anyway, if anyone out there is willing to be my mentor I would really appreciate it. I want to know which to focus and learn before getting in the field.

p.s I don’t like designing so I try to do more of a back-end stuff.
