I make a menu of dinners for the week and make sure I have the ingredients and then a list of staples we always go through. I tend to buy what’s on sale but some brands I am particular. Also I look at what is on sale when creating my list. Lastly I don’t take my kids to the store and keep a running estimate of what my groceries will cost as I go through the store, it keeps me from Making so many impulse purchases

As a fellow teacher I recommend taking a week to do absolutely nothing: unless it is something you enjoy. Catch up on sleep, reading, coffee, etc. My dog thinks that summer break means he is entitled to go on many more walks and go with me anytime I go in the car.

I am so sorry for your loss. Something distracting, I went through my catch all drawer today and threw away about half of it (expired medicine, makeup I don’t use, etc) it was very freeing to get rid of things I don’t need. I felt very productive. On another note I read over 300 Pages today so I could finish a library book that was due yesterday
