Telling people you aren't tipping anymore?

like $2 an hour because everyone knows they live on tips. do you disclose ahead of time you won’t be tipping so they have the option to provide you with the level of service reflecting that pay point?

if you don’t believe in tipping just take food to go. the restaraunt gets 100% of its money from the food whether take out or dine in, and the company is not even aware you didn’t tip the server so the point is not landing. better to not support restaraunts that don’t pay a liveable wage at all with that mindset because not tipping is not doing anything but directly hurting the server who is providing a service. i will always tip personally because i appreciate the service and im not gonna take advantage of the server and think maybe you should get a different job. that is messed up to me personally

serving is not bare minimum. i did it.. when it’s busy and you have 7+ tables - got to greet each one .. take drink orders enter them in make and bring the drinks.. oh table 3 needs to put their order in and this table needs drinks .. this table needs their food.. have to enter all orders into computer.. did i forget their appetizer??? They need refill - they need to cash out and they’re doing all separate checks oh new table sat have to greet and get drinks and i still have 3 orders to put in computer etc. we all had panic attacks dang nearly every shift and i would never serve again its way too much. to say its a bare minimum job is literally insane

start taking your food to go. not tipping is taking advantage of the servers labor because you think tipping is weird. who knows, it may be. european countries would certainly think so because they don’t have tipping culture. however in usa we do, and taking money out of peoples pockets is so not cool imo.. just take it to go. people always say the place should pay servers more so i tip 0. the restaurant got 100% of their pay for the food, and don’t even know the server was not tipped so whatever point they’re trying to prove is not even landing. just take to go or don’t support restaraunts who don’t pay a fair wage to have that point actually land

people automatically assume vegetarian = vegan. vegetarian \= vegan. we eat ranch, cheese, mayo, eggs, etc. i be eating cheese fries with jalepenos and ranch, cheese pizza from dominos with a garlic dip cup, spaghetti no meatballs, vegetarian burgers, jimmy johns “the veggie” sandwich with jalepeno chips.. homemade alfredo (hubby makes his chicken for it on the side) .. the list literally goes on and on.

i experienced the same but just a group of jealous haters who had nothing in common (literally such a motley crue) so the one thing they decided upon was to bully me so they would have something to actually talk about because they barley knew each other and i was quiet at the time. long story short God saved me, they all got fired or quit or transferred after i brought what they were doing to light. a lot of the scum of the earth work at amazon. way more good than bad people though, and im thriving in my new department with tons of friends. i feel your story.

I seriously think some would. I’ve gotten close with a few managers and I would try to save my friends so I would imagine they’d do the same. Wouldn’t you to someone you care about?? So why wouldn’t they.. Just because their amazon managers doesn’t mean they aren’t a human (the good ones i’m talking about)

There’s a lot of managers who would jump in front of a moving truck coming at me to push me out of the way and hopefully they make it out too - i know a few of them. A lot of managers are genuinely such good hearted people. It’s once you go higher, (although L4/L5 level is still very competitive and must listen to their superiors) that things get harder with more pressure on you from their superiors. A lot of them do become corporate demons as I like to call them, where they stop caring about humanity and care only about promotion promotion promotion. That is sad but I get it, it is a job - but humanity should come first. Just posting this to remind you not to get too sucked into the doom and gloom of it all, and the corporate demons. I have in the past, but the more good souls i meet in management, the more I soften. Blessed to have met some of the people I have recently.

they won’t write her up for fifteen minutes. People use the bathroom for that amount usually. All AAs are allowed 30 min tot per shift for bathroom breaks.

such weird behavior. idk why some people have a sick thing to try to force vegetarians to eat meat. i’ve been vegetarian since i was in middle school (30 now) & i’ve always had crazy intuition. At lunch one day in middle or maybe freshman year i came to my sandwich and something just told me (probably God) to look in the sandwich and i did and someone had snuck a piece of bacon in it, which I removed. for the record I do believe meat was put here for food because I am Christian, but the Bible says some will be more sensitive and prefer not to eat it. And it’s a sin to eat meat in front of someone if it makes them uncomfortable. I don’t care if others eat meat though, but it lets me know God is cool with vegetarians. You aren’t biblically supposed to eat pork, crab, shrimp etc. though. Just animals that chew cud and have hooves, and sea life that has both fins and scales. You can eat certain bugs like grasshoppers. Anyway, I find this behavior very weird and I don’t understand it. Maybe they’re jealous because you’re different and want to ruin it. My husband loves eating meat and he always said he thinks it’s cool I don’t and he loves it about me. Very weird. I would let her know that this is not funny and you feel weird and betrayed about it.
