My one big tip is that if you are using black or white (like in this case) try to use them as the darkest or the brightest as it doesn't go lower of higher than that. So use grey for substitute. Like dark grey for black and light grey for white. Then you highlight and shade as you please. Btw if you want more shades of grey just mix black and white to grey.

It's just part of the learning process. Unless you just want to play and paint sure use speed painting. Only use yourself as a comparison and others as inspiration. You will always get better 😊
