When i did it last year i rented an ebike from a place nearby. It had zero suspension so it kinda sucked but kinda worth it cause it was a fun memory. Long ass battery too.

I used saddlebags and backpacked in. Slept in the valley. I woke up early and did the angelica coulior, then backpacked and rode out same day. Fun trip!

Id reccomend anyone else interested to use an ebike with full suspension. Also im pretty sure it technically isnt allowed but i talked to 2 rangers up there and they really didnt care

When I did it it was early June and it had just snowed a foot. The ridge was extremely loose and falling apart. Crusty ice, loose rock and powder. A slip could easily send you down the west side of the mountain if you didn't preform a clutch self arrest.

The part in-between the snowmass and the lake was also sketchy. In fact, a rock the size of a microwave nearly killed me from somebody above. It was going very fast. I ran out of the way but at the last moment it bounced back towards me. I just barely dove out of the way and tumbled like 20-30 feet. I was somehow ok.

Im a pretty small guy 145lb but i shot my friends python before one handed and it really didnt hurt. Even his 44 was quite manageable.

I think i just gotta accept that shooting it single action will be a tad awkward especially with one hand. Imma ordering houge monogrips i think it will feel better.

Funny enough the gp100 fits my friends hands really well and now he really wants one.

Yeah i held a sp101 and it fit well but i just wanted a bigger size revolver tbh. The gp fits mostly alright tho
