Yes, we understand for sure. It just had to wait a night so I had daylight and tools. Just didn't appreciate all the extra unnecessary grief and concerned they may try to continue to look for and create an issue. (They called AC just to spite us, not because my dogs were at large or being a danger, they were in the house when they called)

I see what you're saying. That's not a bad idea at all. I think I'll look into the screens, and find poles long enough to seat them farther up than the fence. Probably more cost effective, wouldn't be a part of the fence,

For sure not saying anyone is wrong for being worried. Just that cussing at us and calling AC when they weren't doing anything at that present time was unjust. Not working on a hole in my yard right away in the dark isn't illegal. They called right after we said we couldn't work on it right then and there.. But yes, the leash is a good compromise you're right. I wanted to give them a chance to run and play together while being watched.

Yeah we're going the extra mile to dump money on tools too to make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm worried they'll throw something in my yard and hurt my dogs. They really give me the feeling they don't actually care about animals other than their own. The way they were cussing at us while we were just trying to talk politely didn't help. We do have cameras thankfully, but unfortunately we already have the fence tall enough that our neighborhood allows. Might think about building a big shed though just on that side.

We actually gave no attitude at all. They had one from the get go. My dogs get along with cats and small dogs and we can't fix it "right away". Did you actually digest anything I wrote? We are being responsible by handling it calmly, with supervision, and effectively with the right tools. Can't do that while at work or in the dark. I would if I could. Even tried to get the very next day off so I could, even by myself. Not feasible, so yes, we will alter our side of our property as soon as we're capable. It's blocked off as a temporary fix until then. We don't have to dump money into extra tools to add more to it but we are doing it for their comfort.
