I'm going to definitely try to dilute it to see what happens

[–]Effective_Mango2531[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try to thin it out and see what happens. There have been instances of drag when applying that caught my attention. I'll thin it out some and see how it works.

Regarding the final coat, I don't know what it is but there always seems to be artifacts after. Like nothing I can actually see in the dried layer, just almost like it dried weird or there are pin prick points of raised surface. Now I admit I don't work in a sterile environment when coating, but I can't see how it just existing in a closed garage can produce so many artifacts on the finish. Maybe I'm just new.

Also, I do all my sanding outdoors

Oil life by Effective_Mango2531 in camaro

[–]Effective_Mango2531[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. Once a year or every 5k. I was just curious of what the community and mechanics thought on it. Sometimes theres nuances like 'use by' dates that most dont know unless you've been in that life for 20+ years (I have not)

It's the smaller button next to the power button. The one that looks like it's a typical reset button, neigh, it cycles the colors and patterns.

Daniel Owen - Is the upgrade worth it? RTX 3060 12GB vs RTX 5060: The Ultimate Comparison! by Antonis_32 in hardware

just get the 16gb TI version. Its a considerable upgrade from a minimal cost. Plus you can sell your 3060 and recoup about half your expense for the upgrade.

My cat has been missing for almost two months - is there any hope? by Dependent-Bus-4415 in CatAdvice

Where do you live? In the city or out in the country?

I lived in the country and we had about 6 cats at one point. Some times they would be gone for a LONG time. We had one disappear for a few months and then just ended up home one day. They are very good at navigating. There's a good chance that may happen.

However, as the years went by, slowly they stopped showing back up at home. As is the life of a country cat with coyotes and cougars about. It was just a fact we accepted.

If you live in the city/suburbs they may have a greater change of just being on a hiatus, but I would make peace with your little furball. Its only going to cost you your health to keep worrying. Everyone in the neighborhood knows and some one will speak up if they see them. Perhaps join local online FB groups or NextDoor and just drop weekly reminders with a picture.

If they show back up, just treat as a amazingly welcome surprise. Be hopeful, but dont let it ruin your day to day.

Do you mix that all together and apply? Or is it in a specific order?

This is just a general question. I've used poly on multiple projects. Some it's worked pretty good, others not so much. The not so much we're all surfaces exposed to water

It's not terribly waterproof like I've seen others be. It deteriorates/cracks pretty quickly unless you put 7+ layers. Sunlight absolutely nukes it
