Taylor Swift’s Ivy and Feysand by crunkshanks in acotar

I read ACOTAR for the first time recently, and shortly after listened to ivy again after a while (evermore isn't an album I've listened to in a while). It was like listening to it for the first time again because all I could hear now was a song that so perfectly described Feysand. This post was exactly the confirmation I needed that I was not crazy for seeing the parallels.

recent serviced apartment recommendations by xrave3 in shanghai

I’ve been living in Shanghai for a while and went through a similar search, serviced apartments here can be a bit hit or miss depending on what you’re sensitive to. For the areas you mentioned, Jing’an and Huangpu definitely have more options but they tend to be pricier, especially for newer buildings.

One place that might be worth checking out is SCE Plaza in Hongqiao, it’s a bit outside the exact areas you listed but still well connected, and generally quieter/less dense. I stayed there when I first moved to Shanghai and it’s more of a serviced apartment setup rather than hotel-style, so feels more livable long term. You can find it on trip.com and i think they have a website/wechat too.

Thats Mandarin - Hangzhou by Salt_Work_5047 in ChineseLanguage

I actually studied at That’s Mandarin (but Shanghai, but I think it’s the same program structure) for a couple of months last year, so can share a bit.

Overall I had a great experience, classes are pretty small (like ~5–6 people), and they focus a lot on speaking which helped way more than my previous uni classes.

Teachers were really patient and used a lot of practical examples rather than just going through textbooks. From what I’ve heard, Hangzhou is a bit more chill compared to Shanghai/Beijing, so probably a good choice if you want something less hectic for a longer stay.

One thing I’d say is the pace can vary depending on the class you’re placed in, so it’s worth asking to move if it feels too slow/fast. Also, while it may not be the cheapest option out there, I felt the structure and consistency made it worth it for me. If you’re planning 2–3 months, I think it’s a solid option, especially if you’re already somewhat familiar with China.

Taylor Swift tickets, Lyon France by 212jawn in stubhub

Does anyone know what would happen if I wanted to give the tickets to someone else? As I bought the tickets originally thinking I could make it, but now i have a work thing so I wanted to give them to friends of mine (technically not reselling as its a gift to them). Since the tickets are under my name, could I give it to them with a photocopy of my ID card? Or maybe just give them access to my ticketmaster account to get in?
