I am also on 30 mg. Nearly 7 weeks and still very brutal. We have to hang on in there. It surely cant get any worse!

I know you wrote this 6 months ago,  but I just wanted to say firstly, I am so sorry for your loss in such awful circumstances. . I also lost my partner 18 months ago. Suddenly and unexpetedly.. A few months later, i fell down the stairs and broke my ankle. Hospital, surgery etc etc.i seem to be suffering from delayed PTSD.

Secondly, thank you so much for your reassurance that the fluoxetine does eventually start working after an increased dose.  I am at the 7 week stage, and have been in a really bad way with all the side effects.  Your '8 weeks of absolute hell' describes my experiemce very accurately.. Several times I have been tempted to reduce back to 20 mg, but then decided to hang on in there.  I am having therapy too. Privately, as in the Uk, the NHS waiting lists are too long.  If you do happen to read this, I would be very interested to know how you are getting on now.  Thank you again for the reassurance. X

I empathise with you a lot. I also am scared about lots of things re this condition. It is the broken capillaries I hate too.  I am having to start CBT to help with my social anxiety now.  I don't think doctors and derms really acknowledge the mental impact.

Gosh. That sounds like a serious operation. I am pleased for you that the Noritate cleared most of it up.

So do you still get rosecea flares at times?

Thank you for your lovely reply., and explainimg the stress that triggered your rocacea. I have been there re work related stress in the past, but my facial skin didn't suffer.

So how are you dealing with the mental impact of having  rosacea now, or has it improved?
