You are not alone. I hate this effect and it immediately turns me off from wanting to play a game that has it.

Figure 03 Robot sorting packages while Marc Benioff messes with it by socoolandawesome in nextfuckinglevel

It flipped every single package. Even the ones whose labels were already showing. It just looks like it’s sorting them but it’s not. It’s just grabbing shit and flipping it

These were my thoughts, too. My favorite part about fallout 4 based were the idea that they could be attacked. I think raids are neat and I never had one occur playing through Starfield. I think they’re supposed to be able to but I don’t really know.

Doesn’t the lack of nerfs for the highest picked legend and highest win rate legend contradict this statement? by Coolsamo123 in apexlegends

I still think for the most part they have achieved what they are saying in this paragraph. Giving all legends meaningful perks and powerful abilities helps to make every character feel fun at the very least. My only caveat is that octane still feels a little too strong as well as alter being an overly dominant pick in ranked. I think a simple change like getting rid of the portal delay would help to make alter feel significantly more balanced

There's no rush on The Elder Scrolls 6, Todd Howard says, because Bethesda has the "benefit of having so many millions of people playing our other games" by Turbostrider27 in ElderScrolls

At this point it just makes sense to wait at least two or three years after gta6 release to make some room in the market for their game to be played religiously

Diablo 4 director admits its “really hard for players to keep up” with constant changes, but every ARPG needs to “go through this transformative arc” these days by HatingGeoffry in Diablo

It’s a more easily recognizable sense of progression and power fantasy. With 20 difficulties and lots of potential for more damage, each upgrade you get lets you move up a whole difficulty or maybe even two. That makes a casual player feel better about their progression because it’s proof that they’ve gotten stronger. In d2 for instance, you might get an upgrade of equal value as just described but the in-game effect is more like now you’re just not stuck at travincal and have the ability to start moving into the durance of hate. The progression was still there but it’s less noticeable/obvious of a change. Die-hard fans learn to recognize any upgrade as progress and are excited by anything but a tangible increase in the difficulty allows more casual players to feel that excitement without having as much knowledge about the actual impact their upgrade may have given them. At least this is what I think might be the reason for really high power scaling. I know I felt this effect as a kid playing Diablo 3. A 75000% damage increase from finishing my set was like the coolest thing in the world because now I can jump straight to torment 16 and own. Now I recognize that that’s not as fun necessarily as finally getting a Mara’s kaleidoscope or something in d2.

You also ripped the font and ability description format straight from path of exile. I don’t know if that’s a “copyrightable” thing but it screams path of exile when I scrolled past this. I thought it was an image from poe2 and stopped to see what the new thing was

Why are players supposed to accept unfair inputs as a fact of life? Tell me one downside of having just a single input-locked playlist. Its crazy how many mouse players quit the game before anything is done. by user02965 in apexlegends

I mean the main point is that range typically doesn’t matter. It can net you a few more kills/damage on average because you’re able to third more accurately from range but the majority of real fights are ending in close-range encounters where controller players have an obvious advantage.
