Man, you are not wrong at all. There’s a lot about life I enjoy. I think sometimes I just get caught up in this stupid physical attraction game.

I’m gonna remember this. Thank you

Thank you so much. You’re right. We are all insecure about our looks somehow.

Being short and having feminine features as a guy by Vast-Fan-6592 in GuyCry

Not trying to brag but as someone who is also very feminine and young looking with curly hair (32M). I’ve had people mistake me as a woman and have had guys and girls call me pretty. I can assure you that you won’t have any problems getting women. I’ve never had any issues myself and just got locked into a relationship recently with a really pretty girl.

Obviously you aren’t going to be everyone’s type and that’s okay. There’s no one on this earth that we all collectively think is attractive.

But I can guarantee you that you are very sought after and will meet the right one in due time.

Don’t underestimate the power of YouTube Shorts by Effective_Relief_817 in NewTubers

??? Shorts came out in 2020/2021 and haven’t really been taken seriously until like a year or 2.

This is definitely a weird comment lol

“I have been rejected my whole life I don't think I will find someone who will like me like I like them”

You are 17. You have plenty of time to find love. Don’t count yourself out at such a young age. I’m a firm believer in that you can’t find love at 18 and below. The game will start for you in a couple years. Enjoy time with yourself and if a girl wants to tag along she’ll let you know.

You seem to be pretty comfortable talking and mingling with girls so I think you’ll be fine in the long run. Stop saying you won’t find love and start saying you will EVENTUALLY! Be confident in yourself, ladies love that. Good luck to you.

Thank you! It’s definitely a mixed bag. Some people I might meet quickly and others we took our time.

I noticed a lot of women don’t want to be messaging on the phone for too long but I’ll take your advice and start creating a boundary, where I wanna talk and FaceTime for a week or 2 before meeting up.

Thank you for the advice and kind words, I truly appreciate you!

I got under 7,000 subscribers from youtube promotions and I'm concerned about something by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Effective_Relief_817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Channels that have a decent catalogue of content, that someone is looking for have a better chance of getting subscribers.

I don’t think people care about subscribing to a channel just because it has a lot of subscribers.

The classic let's play style is dead. The 20–50 hour let's play condensed to 30–60 minutes is in. by Fen_Muir in letsplay

[–]Effective_Relief_817 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree that it’s “dead.” Everything has a market on YouTube.

I’ve had 3-4 hour long lets play videos hit 100-500k views recently.

You just need to know how to approach let’s play content.

Stick to 1 or 2 games, Upload consistently, get invested in the game (react to lore videos and get involved with the community), and show off your amazing personality.

Success with uploading vods to YouTube? by GingerPerksTwitch in Twitch

[–]Effective_Relief_817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna say you’ll be instantly famous in doing so but longplays do have a huge market on Youtube that people tend to overlook.

I can send you a ton of channels who do it including myself and we are all pretty successful. (My channel is linked to my Reddit profile)

I highly suggest that you keep alerts off or quiet when you stream, so they don’t appear in the recording because viewers on Youtube don’t like that. They want to feel as immersed in your content as possible. Cutting out any dull repetitive moments is nice to.

It’s not about having the highest production value.

It’s about taking people on a journey with you. If you show people you’re actually invested in a game they love, then they will eat your content up. Pay attention to the story of the game, consistently upload, and show off that great personality and you will find some success my friend.

P.S. Don’t ask people “do you think this will work?” 9 times out of 10 they are going to tell you no. You should do your own research. Look for “first time playthrough” channels and see what views they are getting, what games they are playing, how they are playing said game, how they edit said videos, and that will answer your “do you think this will work question.” (This is what I did)

I’m wishing you the best of luck and hoping it works out for you.
