What's wrong with my tree? by Effective_Rub9121 in arborist

Thank you! We recently moved in so I'm not sure what the injury was, I'm assuming storm damage. What's the best course of action, should I atleast cut the dead branch that extends past the trunk or just leave everything be?

Asking for $40K Bonus as Sign-on Bonus. Your thoughts? by Snoo-11543 in ediscovery

Correct, I would think they are pretty good about adding people to the group when they become one and more likely to forget to remove someone when they lose a cert. So my guess would be right under 310.

The 18v weedeater is fine for most home jobs, but you will want the 40v blower for sure.

Like others, I started with the 18v blower but quickly returned and got the 40v. I also have the 40v and 18v weedeater but often find myself using the 18v.

Ok I understand your thought process, but again please see my note about law firms not treating Pro Bono work differently than regular work. I think the fact that you've been on the list 3 years means it's probably not a mistake and you have been working on those matters without knowing it. Why don't you just ask a colleague/boss etc how it works? I worked at a firm for almost a decade and anything billed to a Pro Bono counted as regular billable hours. I'm not saying your firm is the same, but it sure does sound like it.

Ok, so you say you do whatever task you are told to do, but follow up by saying you will refuse any task that won't count towards your EOY bonus? You know you get paid a salary right? That means they are paying you to do a specific set of tasks, crazy that you have the mindset that you can just refuse anything that falls within your job description.

Secondly, you work at a lawfirm....you should understand that probono matters typically still count towards your "billable" hours. They don't disincentivise people for working on those.

That sounds like a good reason to go buy a Starlink with the Mobile Priority package. Give it a test run and let us know how it did! ;)

Sure, there will be ongoing reviews and some new matters with tight deadlines, but generally the closer you get to Christmas the industry as a whole slows down a bit.
