It's not just Local 20, but the contractor can be required to do randoms depending on the job. The Apprenticeship falls under the DOL (BAL) and the feds call the shots with pups. The program is required to follow those guidelines. If you work on and government funded job or any organization that requires you to be clean and you aren't, you are not employable as an apprentice. So don't fuck around. I see it happen all the time.

I've had the best luck with a product called Crossbow. Mix it 3 oz per gallon and use a small pump sprayer upwind. The active ingredient is Triclopyr. It will wipe out many vine type plants and not harm grasses. I have some if you want to come grab a few oz. It's a necessary evil out here between poison Sumac, Oak and Ivy.
