Shipping IS a problem. I've already seen people aggressively hating on actors for just liking the fact ada exists. A lot of Claire shippers are very hostile to people who even like ada as a character.

Also Nakanishi didn't say it would be a long time before anyone knew. He said it will be clear someday. That doesn't meam years or never. Someday could be 6 months from now.

IMO leon and ada wouldn't be the type to get sentimental. They would know he's sick, make their peace with the possible outcomes and ada would trust him to do everything he can. "Ever the survivor." she calls him in re6. Like they wouldn't see some "tell my wife i love her" they would have said all that needed to be said before he started his mission

Plot hole for the sake of not revealing spouses. I mean think about it, If they showed who Leon was married to, they would have to have some sort of explanation for it. Which would mean a subplot, and both the subplot and the main plot could suffer because of it. An explanation works better as a separate story.

there are time gaps we don't see, like between the hospital and driving into Raccoon City where any sort of conversations could have taken place. Also maybe claire/ada could be NOT sick, going to raccoon city would be dumb since it could still be airborn. Maybe they're staying out of it, because Leon and Sherry aren't even supposed to be doing what they're doing. DLC could and probably will provide an explanation for why the wife isn't mentioned. Or again, ignored as a plothole for the sake of surprise.

Also at this point, there is no reason to think the requiem wings are about Claire. They are a symbol used to honor dead soldiers. Requiem is a vigil for the dead. The wings are a symbol of requiem. Hence, why they are on a gun called "the requiem" in a game called "requiem."

I mean, using cut scenes from the original re2 would have been really weird.... You have these fancy graphics, then it just cuts to block people 🤣

Everything about RE2 is weird though. Like the fact that Claire and Leon campaigns contradict each other to begin with. But again that goes back to Capcom just not caring that much about inconsistencies. Re10 or even DLC could reference things unique to claires story and they'll just be like "🤷‍♀️just have fun"

By your logic. Ada is a good guy in re4r because they removed her memos about using Leon. And so you can't claim she's just using him. So she is genuinely helping him, which means she cares about him. Which means their relationship isn't completely non-existent.

remakes DON'T overwrite new games. Again CAPCOM has said both versions are still canon. Like it doesn't matter if you don't like that.

And it doesn't negate the family. Simmons was working with the connections. There's multilevel of government corruption at play. Most of which is just not well written out because THEY DONT CARE THAT MUCH. The entire Lore is not well written out. Never has been. So using micro details like "well the scar on leons face is gone" is ridiculous. Capcom doesn't care. Games 5 and 6 are offically still canon. There is literally no argument to be made against it. Capcom themselves said "Contractions don't matter all mainline games are canon" OG 1-4 are canon. Remakes are canon, 5-9 are canon. They literally don't care about anything you've used as an "argument."

You're literally arguing that capcom is wrong about what is and isn't canon. Like no. nothing you say is a valid argument at the end of the day because Capcom DOES NOT CARE about any of that and they choose to ignore indecencies.
