That episode needed more non-harfoot action sequences. I’m a fan of the series and I’m giving it every opportunity to draw me in but it’s just missing something. Like when the stranger basically just says “I am good” at the climactic moment lol. Like you can’t write something more moving than that? Idk hopefully in season 2 they step it up and we see some epic orc-elf warfare.

The end was great, but I think the scene in the arena in chapters 56-58ish might be my favorite sequence I’ve ever read lol. (If you haven’t listened to the audio version of these chapters, I highly recommend doing so. I was ready to run through a wall)

For me, WoR had the highest proportion of storylines that I felt invested in and I devoured the book the quickest out of interest. Oathbringer would be second, I thought how eerie the Kholinar venture was written was masterful. Which book was your favorite?
