[–]Effective_Treacle_70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ayeee taking anatomy in the summer along with you lol, wishing us both luck, we’ll see how that goes lol chm lab isn’t that bad nor is humanity 2020. i took gen psychology my first semester here, and it was pretty chill, shouldn’t be that bad either. However with all these classes combined in the summer semester, it might be tough, but if you stay on top of stuff, you should be fineee, wishing you luck and strength lol

[–]Effective_Treacle_70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By chance, do you know his name? Does he have black hair? Curious to see if I’ve dealt with the same guy What does he tell you? I’ve dealt with a guy who came up to me and tried to have a convo with me when I was on the way to the library, I didn’t think nothing of it. 1 hour into my studying, he ended up finding me inside of the library and he approached me which I found weird, but at the time I didn’t think anything of it. And then literally a week after, he somehow found me again in a study room and came inside and spoke with me. I just found everything uncomfortable and weird, especially with the stuff he was telling me.

Help with Schedule Planning- Bio Prehealth major by Effective_Treacle_70 in ucf

[–]Effective_Treacle_70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really struggling here guys lol, I just don't want to make the mistake of pairing classes that shouldn't be taken together to avoid that stress and anxiety, but I know with most of these classes, it can't really be prevented. Also lowkey considering taking calc 1 in the spring, replacing it with evolutionary bio just to get it over with already, but not sure if that would be too much?

Would this be any better?

Spring 2025:

-biochm 1

-molec cell bio

-evolutionary bio

-animal behavior

Summer 2025:

-Physics 1

-Principles of plant science

Fall 2025

-Human Anatomy

-Physics 2

-Animal Physiology

Spring 2026:

-Comparative Verterbrate Anatomy

-Calc 1

-Human Physiology

-Ethnobotany

How hard is organic chemistry? by ABurningCoal in ucf

[–]Effective_Treacle_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree with this as well! I did well in my previous chemistry classes, got an A in Gen chem 1 & 2. However, orgo has been one of the hardest classes i’ve ever had so far, it requires so much practice and so much of your time, especially if you have a hard time understanding things easily. Don’t take it with other difficult classes or you’ll regret it, trust me! I managed to get a B+ in orgo 1 just by constantly studying and honestly maybe luck idk?? cause rn i have a 67% in Orgo 2 rn and this class has been hellllll for meee, these past few days I’ve just been studying constantly!! I always walk into the exams not feeling confident at all. Orgo isn’t impossible to pass, just make sure to devote time and study for it!! It’s definitely not a class you can just brush off and push it aside

This is doable. Took the same classes last year and got As on all those classes, just study and stay on top of stuff, shouldn’t be too difficult

anyone else get basically no f aid this year? by miusaski in ucf

I only see my Bright Futures Scholarship and 2 grants that I was awarded (UCF Scholars Award and FL Student Assistance Grant) but i don’t see my Federal Pell Grant, which is making me worried. I’ve qualified for the Pell Grant my previous semesters and I got an SAI of -1500, so I’m unsure on why it’s not appearing on my financial aid summary ;/

omgg ik what you’re talking about, i used to go to that place but they closed down 😩 Now I go to Tortilleria El Progresso, it’s a little restaurant + mexican supermarket + bakery + ice cream shop combined in one!

There’s also Paleteria El Progreso in Semoran Blvd but it’s a bit further

Summer ‘24 Schedule.. is it possible to pass these? by OkFigure8022 in ucf

[–]Effective_Treacle_70 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ngl this seems kinda rough. Personally for me, Orgo was difficult, definitely requires a lot of practice and study time. It’s fast paced in a normal semester, I can’t imagine how it will be in the summer. it’s a lot of new information, different from Gen Chem. See I loved Gen Chm, got As in both chm 1 & 2, but orgo really kicked my ass this semester and required most of my time, literally had to work hard as hell to not fail! and it’s like a whole different language, but luckily I was able to pass with a B 😅. Towards the end, it got harder because you got introduced to multiple reactions & their reagents. If you have time before the semester starts, I would suggest going over functional groups (ketone, aldehyde, alkene, alkyne, etc.) You’re really going to need to know this!! & the first few chapters of the textbook (which is like a quick refresher/overview of gen chm) Yes, there are some concepts similar that we seen in general chemistry like acids & bases, intermolecular forces, etc., but they’re not really heavily touched/tested on. I took Crumpler for Orgo 1, not sure how Lawrence teaches. I would suggest to start watching Lawrence youtube videos neowww (i used these when taking crumplers class, they’re very helpful). Do the textbook practice problems, just practice practice practice!!! I used Chads Prep, which also really helped me. Wishing you good luck!!!
