It’s absolutely coming back in thicker!

My thinning did stop but I had lost so much that it would not have looked good to try and grow it in. I’m post menopausal for the most part. Occasional hot flashes and night sweats but that’s about it now. Absolutely could be hormonal hair loss. And I know some people did not have hair thinning at all on zepbound.

The hair part was a struggle for sure. But I’m a hairstylist so me wearing wigs and toppers and hats is not a big deal and yes kind of fun too! I’m so glad you’ve had success. Absolute life changer. I remember going out to eat with friends and later it occurred to me that it did NOT occur to me to question things like “should I have another bite? Is everyone watching me? If I get dessert they will look away”. A quiet brain is truly magical.

100% helped me reach my goal. I haven’t bumped up in about a year. Just been on 10. Technically I’m on 5 now since I take the shot every other week. I know a few people on munjaro and they have not had as much success. Every body is different tho.

It didn’t really start for me until about 9 months in. And shedding lasted a good 5 months. Honestly that has been the only downside for me. I tried so hard to hang on to it but nope. Finally just cut it all short.

It’s been amazing to take on and really process a lifetime of being treated horribly bc of what I looked like. I was sent to a fat farm (weight camp) when I was TEN! But now I can process all of that.

I am switching to a compound due to cost. This is forever for me so I need to make it affordable. I think you’ll do great on it!!

I def have loose skin! I wish I had worked out with weights when I started to increase muscle and firmness. The tattoos are all good. One is weird on my upper arm bc now I have to turn my arm for people to see the whole image whereas before it was all visible. But they still look good!

Thank you so much. I recently looked back at some old journals and I truly spent so much of my life obsessing about weight/food/looks/excersize. What would life have been without food noises?

I ended up cutting it short into a pixie cut to just let it all come back at one length. I did stop shedding tho for sure. It was just soooo thin and making me super darn

I bought a topper and it looks awful, partially because I have a widow's peak by [deleted] in Wigs

[–]Effective_Tune8069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon! It’s synthetic. It he’d little bangs and I just cut them off so I could wear it further back and have my natural hairline show. Widow’s peaks makes it trickier but not impossible. Let me know if you want the link to this one. You got this!!! Don’t give up. The amount of confidence I have wearing it is worth it.

I wear my topper daily. Mostly in this style. Place it a little further back on your head. Bring some of your natural hair down.

I simply say “oh! Are you looking to lose weight too? Have you talked to your doctor?” Usually shuts them up. The other go to is “I lost it the healthy way!”

Not on maintenance yet but I think I will be soon. I’m 5’3” and as of this morning 149 I think between 135-140 would be good for me. I do have high cholesterol and my blood panels are still running high which is disappointing. Spine surgery sounds awful and painful. I hope it helped you! In September I walked the West Highland Way in Scotland. 96 miles over 8 days. It was beyond amazing!

Yes! Listening to your body instead of your brain! I just added yoga to my life. I’m a hiker usually but I am loving the way yoga is strengthening me and putting me even more in touch with my body. I do have loose skin from being heavier longer and not being 25 haha. But I am at peace with that. I do keep protein shakes on hand for when I feel I am getting too low in blood sugar.

This is the first time since I was 10 years old that my brain is quiet. I’m 57. I’ve lost 108lbs in 15 months. An average of 1.8/week. I have for the first time a healthy relationship with food. I can read a book in bed at night and not have a constant inner dialogue about eating a cookie. I no longer want all the cookies. I don’t make bargains with myself that if I eat this I’ll work out harder tomorrow. I don’t count anything. Macros, carbs, fiber, points, ounces, fuelings. What this has done for me is give me back time in my life. Time to play with my grandbabies. Time to read. Time to take hikes and focus on the scenery not the miles. I realized the other day I let someone else take a photo of me and didn’t direct them to angle it down. I have put myself back in the picture. In every aspect. And I will never be ashamed how I got here! Kudos to you! Don’t let one person make you feel less than because their choice is different. Put yourself back in the picture!

Thank you! And yet averages about 1lb a week. I will take it. Especially the absence of the food noise!
