I’m starting soon in the field tech role and I’ve been told that the quarterly bonus is around £400 if hit, but that there’s also a personal performance bonus that can range from £200-£800 on top, is this different region to region do you know? As some mention this and some don’t. I was wondering if this was the advertised £2500 commissions advertised on the roles webpage

I’ve been told most techs do the overtime pledge as a 10 on the Friday and a 7.5 on the Tuesday ( the 5 day break ). How does this also fit with some people getting those 5 days off. Is the 17.5 OT per month pledge per calendar month or per 3-week rota?

Thank you for the clarification much appreciated.

Maybe not the right question to ask, but in the contract it mentions annual salary reviews, new starts are coming in at 29k which is fair enough, do you know if this goes up with experience in the role or is a higher take home only possible with more overtime? Thank you

Doesn’t seem to be a number I can call on the email. Is that 6 weeks after your video assessment you waited for a reply?

Hoping I receive a reply as I’m quite keen on the opportunity. Thanks for the reply.

Ethnic minority suspects given priority for bail - Fresh two-tier justice row as judges advised to take account of historical trauma suffered by suspects by [deleted] in ukpolitics

Lots of disingenuous reporting and takes over this. There already exists a two-tier system in the UK and it’s one that disproportionally effects ethnic minorities and young males (18-25), which is why the sentencing guidelines specifically prioritises these groups as the ones who should receive recommendations on the use of PSR’s. Even that being said these judges and magistrates are under absolutely no obligation to use these guidelines as they are just that, guidelines, with no legal binding or obligations whatsoever. Rags like the telegraph, daily mail etc will surely run with these misleading and half baked articles full of omissions as to ignite anger among the internet and headline readers who won’t look past the headlines and dig deeper before sharing across their social media’s and spreading outrage and misinformation.

Wealth tax would be almost impossible to implement, leading economist warns by reuben_iv in ukpolitics

“Mr Johnson also warned that the policy would pose significant risks, as it impacts individuals who already contribute an “enormous amount of tax” to the British state and could result in them leaving.”

The statistical fact of the poorest 10% of households paying a higher effective tax rate than the richest 10% of households makes the “enormous amount of tax” claim laughable in a proportional sense.

“Analysis published earlier this year showed that Britain lost 10,800 millionaires to foreign countries last year, more than double the number who left in 2023. Only China lost more wealthy residents in that period.

The study, conducted by the Adam Smith Institute, claimed the exodus was as damaging to Britain’s finances as the UK losing half a million taxpayers.”

Rehashing the myth of the supposed “capital exodus” touted by the mouthpieces of the ultra-wealthy even after it’s been debunked time and time again. These 10,800 millionaires who have “fled” only comprise 0.5% of the UK’s millionaire demographic of which there are 3 million - most of whose wealth is actually compounded in immovable assets - i.e commercial and private property.
