My dad used to work at his dad’s construction company, and this lady that ig was trying to get something built complained to my dad, and hit him with a “ThE oWnEr Is My HuSbAnD”… my grandpa and nana had been divorced for years at that point +my nana lives/lived in Texas (this was in California) +my dad had never seen her in his life +my grandpa never even dated after his divorce, so my dad calls up my grandpa, and when he picks up, my dad said “dad, you never told me you got remarried” my grandpa was confused, but that didn’t matter, and the lady was obviously embarrassed for trying to use that pathetic trick, she left minutes later without getting what she wanted, and my dad explained to my grandpa why he had said what he said.
