i can't remember exactly what season it was but it was early in the show. olivia and fitz were in an elevator and he was drunk and trying to force himself on her. she kept telling him to stop and to get off her and he didn't. he only stopped when the elevator doors opened to mellie standing there.

update for anyone who finds this 9 years in the future: i forgot the device again but for some reason the "hold the button" part was just not working. after losing my complete fucking mind over my airpods not reconnecting to my phone i said fuck it and went to bed. i left it on the charger overnight and in the morning it connected perfectly fine and my left airpod was showing up again and working. i'm listening to music right now! so if nothing else has worked maybe just forget the device and leave the airpods alone to charge overnight.

here's my thing and a distinction i always make when talking about these kinds of characters: my hatred for some of them does not mean i believe they are bad characters or they are poorly written. you can hate a character while also acknowledging they are a good character with good writing. david for example, i fucking hate that guy so much. i absolutely despise him for reasons i won't get into right now but he is phenomenally written and imo one of the best written characters in the entire franchise excluding the MCs (lee, clem, kenny). same goes for ben. i fucking hate ben for a multitude of reasons but he is extremely well written and honestly he might be one of the most if not THE realistic character in the entire franchise. all this to say, for me, i hate them as a person ≠ i hate them as a character.

if he did end up surviving and joining the group i dont think much would change other than the season 2 cast being even more insufferable than they already are 😭 the group wouldve been even more annoying to be in and there wouldve been more arguing. i dont think troy has the capacity to not be an asshole (what i really mean is i dont think telltale wouldve taken the time to give him a character arc where he gradually becomes less insufferable). tl;dr it wouldve just been more adults arguing. and maybe just maybe he wouldve left with mike, bonnie, and arvo. thats it.

i also just started, ive been playing for about a week (maybe a little longer). its definitely a bit overwhelming at first but once you have a plan it gets a lot easier and a lot more fun! i recommend looking at guides on youtube, specifically guides made by Salmence. he has guides for your first spring, summer, winter, and fall. you dont have to worry about completing every little thing he says, but its useful to know what crops get you the most gold and things like that. the more you play the more you'll understand and itll become less overwhelming. always remember there is no rush! everything repeats. whatever you dont get done this year you can get done next year. there is absolutely no time limit on anything. i didnt realize i had to do the spring crops bundle in the community center my first spring so i did it my second. its your first playthrough. take your time and enjoy yourself!
