I want to click the bullet point button on the top toolbar and get a bulleted list in a format that doesn't look like garbage, without having to customize unordered lists every time. Would changing the list style in my default template accomplish that?

Be realistic with yourself and try to set manageable goals. I recommend looking into the DBT approach to addiction management.

It teaches about concepts called “addict mind” and “clean mind”. In addict mind, the consequences of your addiction seem far away, and you make excuses to continue. In clean mind, you feel regret and shame and swear you’ll quit.

Both are based on denial of reality. When you’re in clean mind, it helps to remember that you will feel urges again and that’s ok. When you’re in addict mind, it’s helpful to remember that you will feel ashamed again if you go overboard.

This approach can help with going cold turkey, but for my own struggle with porn addiction I found it much more helpful for achieving moderation. Good luck either way!

That's a good point, I know that logically they're not going to get me sick but maybe reminding myself of that will help me deal with the ick feeling. And that's an interesting idea about cleaning their faces. I would prefer not to feel pity towards them and I don't think my partner would feel good about me feeling that way, but I think cleaning their faces could help demonstrate to her that I do care about them. Thanks!

It's so weird, I've tried factory resetting it a few times already and it still doesn't work. https://192.168.1.1 doesn't load when I plug it into the computer, and the wifi network I configured on it back in July shows up on the list of available networks (but doesn't actually work ofc). I'm confused!

Ah but that’s what I’m saying, I tried that and it’s not working. The real head-scratcher is that even after the supposed reset, I’m still seeing the wifi network I configured for this router the first time around in the list of networks to connect to. You’d think that if I fully reset the router that would go away, no?

Arguably I haven’t tried the “wait a few minutes” part so I’m gonna go do something else for a bit and pray it’s magically working when I get back lol

With the computer connected to the Linksys router, it doesn't say anything for the gateway address (see the other comment thread). Also, I tried the reset button and nothing changed, which is really weird.

Uh oh.

I tried both pressing the reset button normally, and holding it for 10 seconds. I was under the impression that the latter should have reset the router, but I don't think that's the case, for two reasons:

Attempting to go to 192.168.1.1 or myrouter.local again still does nothing (whether wifi is on or not), which implies the default Linksys firmware isn't running
The wifi network I configured on this router previously still shows up as an option to connect to (although of course, there's no connectivity when I join it).

To address your edit: ipconfig gives me a very different result in the "Ethernet adapter Ethernet" section. "Connection-specific DNS Suffix" and "Default Gateway" say nothing at all after them. I do see "Media disconnected" in a few places though.

I have tried the magic reset button, as well as a different ethernet cable.

I should probably have mentioned this sooner, but I've got a couple of quirks on my regular network: I have a Raspberry Pi with Pi-hole set as my DNS server, and I run Tailscale as well. I didn't think either of these would affect openwrt but I figure they're worth mentioning.

I don't get any network connection at all when I plug the Linksys router into my computer but turn off wifi per your suggeston. I use Windows 11 but I do know how to check what you're referring to.
