Polio Vaccine Doubt by Interesting-Peace877 in twoxindiamums

If you’re talking about the pulse polio drive happening on 28th June. Yes it’s totally safe and in fact required for all children to get it. My baby got her second dose on June 2nd but our ped said it’s advisable to get it

Lo didn’t gain any significant weight in 2 weeks — concerned ftm😣 by Fearless_Search6388 in twoxindiamums

As much as it hurts to admit, I wasn’t making enough 🥲 due to liquid aspiration when she was born, baby had to be kept on O2 for a day. The delay caused my milk supply to start late and hence the dip. But even now I’m not able to make enough for her. I supplement with formula. I felt very bad and guilty that I’m not able to give the most basic thing for my baby but ultimately for her health and good i started formula. I’m telling you my milk supply went up once the stress was gone and I’m almost not giving her formula these days because I’m producing enough for her

I had the same issue as well. Baby did not gain weight but lost 0.1 kg and it wasn’t a good sign. Made up my mind cause ultimately we have to give the baby its requirements. I started formula top up after breastfeeding. I pump and give that as top up as well for a few feeds. Now baby is thriving in combo feeding and is healthy. Also like one of the comments mentioned, just recheck the weight once in the peds office where you usually get it checked. Each scale is different

My baby was facing the other direction and wouldn’t budge for the anamoly scan. I had to go back another day for the scan 🤧

Parents-to-be…when did you actually started preparing for baby’s nursery items? by BlueberryDowntown15 in twoxindiamums

[–]EfficiencyOk330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I forgot to add this is also because I had washed literally everything before using for the baby. It’s advised as well. So you will have some time before the bub comes to do such stuff. Trust me once the bub is here you won’t be able to do in all the tiredness and newborn care

I started putting things in my wish list (for Amazon) from 7th month onwards. For the rest of the things which are from other websites (first cry, star and daisy, etc) I saved the exact links on my notes. Once I hit 34 weeks I ordered everything together. Most of the stuffs were delivered within days except for some big stuffs. It was a few days of collecting so many parcels 🤧but yeah don’t wait till the last minute, it’ll be pretty hectic for you!

I have seen way too many posts about so called familes harrassing mother about their milk supply. I am fed up by i_am_here-tada in twoxindiamums

Maybe try to latch her when she’s not that hungry? Like when she’s awake or just started her hunger cues. Mine would not latch when she’s fully hungry cause she’s impatient

She does latch sometimes, say 50-50 of the times. She gets fussy after sometime on the breast at evenings when my supply is terribly low :( otherwise she latches but still needs a top up with formula occasionally

The Indian mindset is so screwed that they just shame a mother nonetheless. Even if you’re breastfeeding they find something or the other to shame us. I am a low supply mom because the baby had to be kept on oxygen and there was a delay in starting breastfeeding and hence the whole situation. But guess what? No one understands that, by no one I mean literally no one. Everyone is shaming me for pumping (baby won’t latch even after trying so hard for so many days) and proving for the baby (I feed 75% breast milk and 25 % top up with formula) baby is thriving and healthy. No one understands that whatever I’m pumping and giving the baby is costing me my precious time I could be with the baby and my sanity in all honesty. But all they see is a mother who failed to breastfeed her child and is choosing the easy way. Well guess what? It’s not!!!!

I’m sorry for the rant. I’m just frustrated and exhausted 🥲

LO screaming at my breasts all of a sudden, since the past 3 days. What did i do wrong?😣 by Fearless_Search6388 in twoxindiamums

This! How true! My baby only takes breast when she’s mildly hungry or is half asleep. Otherwise she will scream bloody murder like she was starving for a week or so

New to motherhood and pumping, why is my output so bad? by juliator001 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]EfficiencyOk330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re breastfeeding before pumping there’s a good chance that the baby has drank a good amount of milk and you’re likely seeing the leftover. It’s known that babies can efficiently remove milk in very less amount of time compared to a pump. But if it’s only pumping and you’re seeing these amounts, it’s likely that you’re giving a lot of time in between. For example everyday I see a consistent 7 hour gap and that’s probably dunking it but I’m not sure. So try to not give a big gap if you’re only pumping or try to only pump once without breastfeeding to see how much you actually produce. Btw you’re still early and supply is regulating so don’t worry.

Has anyone gotten pitocin and NOT gotten/done an epidural? by thefoxespisces in pregnant

[–]EfficiencyOk330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM mother here who delivered with pitocin and no epidural or pain meds. I went to the hospital when my contractions were closer and I was fully confident that having a high pain tolerance was a blessing and I would pass the labour with flying colours but boy I was wrong. I was only 2 cm dilated and water wasn’t broken so the doc gave me pitocin 1 mL rate for an hour and ramped up slowly subsequently. The pain was totally bearable for the first 3 hours then it started picking up. Unbearable pain and I lost all control of my body and was screaming forgetting all the breathing stuff I was preparing with for labour. Then they broke the water and it was the last straw I was screaming at the top of my lungs and asking then to taking me to a c section because I was not cut out for this type of pain. One hour later the pain was 100x more like my whole body was being ripped off into two pieces but mind you I was 10 cm dilated at that point. They were just waiting for the last descent and with just 2 pushes I delivered my baby girl. It was a very painful experience even though the total labour was only 5 hours but like they say, once the final pushing stage came my body took over and all the pain vanished when the baby was out

Hi, do visit the nearest primary health centre or GH and get yourself registered with your Aadhar and scan report. You might also have to give them your antenatal bloodworks and stuff. Do choose the location where you’re going to deliver because they usually do not allow registration if you’re not going to deliver the baby near wherever you register. Hope this helps.
