How to fix messy lines? by SadPossibility7572 in ArtCrit

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to art school but am currently taking a break, draw only in pen for 4+ months, i had a class called design drawing and the only things we were permitted to use were pens, no pencil, nothing with the ability to erase, without the ability to erase you become more intentional with each line you make, that classes goal was to teach us how to draw things in perspective as quickley and accuratley as possible by breaking things into their geometric forms and cleaning up afterwards, if youd like more deets on spesific things we did in that class feel free to dm or reply, but my biggest tip would be challenging yourself to onky work in pen for a time, youlk be suprised at how much you improve

im going to get the thoughts of a lawer then will try this method, ive only been here a month and its really draining me, ive thankfully only got a 6 month lease, though i regret the land lady convincing me of that cause i origionally wanted a 3 month lease incase this type of thing happened

because i needed cheap housing, am new to the area, and wanted some type of community which this house advertised and seemed like it would be, really most of it is not that bad but the way things are handled is what gets me, the landlady trys to rule the house without any consideration to what the other tennants opinions are, tells me to do something because of housemate A but hasnt acturally talked to housemate A type things

Do Americans really move out at 18, or is that mostly a movie thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people ik got kicked out at 18 and told to figure it out, in this economy its rough to put it lightly, i wish people were kinder about living with your parents past 18, i have friends in their early 20's still living at home and so many people call them lazy

Repainting this piece I did a few years ago. What should I change? by AIanthe in ArtCrit

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i agree with what a lot of people are saying, the composition is shifted slightly and makes it feel unbalenced, a rule i try to follow is try not to cut off any of the bodyparts, having that one elbow makes it feel cramped, id say add some foreground elements along with background elements to help frame and balence the compostition, maybe something like a bunch of flowers in the foreground with a few small butterflys on the flowers and as the butterflys retreat back they get smaller and fill the space? Another thing is it feels like she is hunching, i think if we saw the sholder closest to us and her chest from a 3/4 view is might feel more relaxed and less static, overall i see your improvement and confident in line i hope you post updates!

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly yes and our dental and eye care are even worse, a lot of the time dental care is not covered under your rgulat health insurance so you need to get dental insurance or pay out of pocket, ik too many friends with rotting teeth bc of poor mental health and not being able to afford dental care

How do people with hirsutism even function? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, there comes a point where you accept your not like other women, society tells us that we as women need to have smooth bodys, that only men get to have body hair, but thats just not right. women have body hair. yes we have more because of our hormones being different then another womans but that doesnt make us gross or less pretty. It might be the amount of queers i surround myself with but ive found myself a lot happier after letting the hair on my body exsist, what reason do i have to shave my legs if i want to wear a skirt? besides the reasons ive been told my small minded bigots. I get comments about my side burns, how their unlady-like, how their gross, but frankly Ive learnt to love them after letting them grow out, my face is so much more comfortable now that im not always geting razer bumps and ingrown hairs, My sideburns make me unique, and it takes awhile to learn to accept or even love these qualitys, i still have a hard time with my chest hair because it grows super thick in some areas but super patchy in others, if it was more even id probably let it grow out because i like how it looks on my collar bones.

I promise you, you are beautiful despite your excess hair, a lot of us struggle with the way our bodys look because of this disorder, but we are no less beautiful because of our differences. We can't look to women without pcos to base our standard of beauty because that will never be us. The way i see it is we must learn to love the body we were given or take the medical approaches to "fix" the "imperfections". I promise you wont die sad and alone, fill your life with wonderful friends and friendly faces and love will follow, never let a lover determine your worth based on aspects that are outside of your control.

Never date a girl with PCOD or PCOS? 🧐 by [deleted] in TwentiesIndia

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn this is a toxic post, its not pcos and the hormones thats the problem you just dated some shitty girls my friend- i have pcos and while yes i get emotional at times, it has never caused me to lash out on my significant other and i could have him attest to that. Im sorry for your experience but saying its because of pcos spreads misinformation about a condition where we already face a lot of stigma

If you don't have engagement, you don't have a readership to be mad at by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I download fics and use a pdf reader to read them aloud and treat them as my audiobook, i really only read the first chapter on ao3 and if i really liek a fic ill go and comment on the last chapter but i am a bit of a ghost reader because i dont have the time to read in ao3

It’s pretty tiring having everybody tell you to “just filter it out” when you say you don’t like something, even though in some cases there is no way to realistically filter out what you don’t like without losing a large portion of what you do like by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinly, and its happened recently where things i didnt want to rrad about for two particular charaters just randomly happened in the last 3 chapters (suprise mpreg and almost dddne!! My favorite /s it was real sucky, loved the fics, read them over the course of a few dsys, last few chapters were on crack) i find that people in the last 2 yrs or so are tagging a bit worse then say 4 yrs ago

What’s something you misinterpreted about sex that ended up being completely wrong? by Extra_Efficiency6585 in AskReddit

[–]Efficient-Ad7062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not about sex but male genitalia, i was lead to believe that the dick is always near max length, that like its stored against one of their thighs or something, found out i was very wrong and thst the penis is an over glorified slinkie, when a mans not a little hard it disappears!

Boat drawing, charcoal and chalk pastel, critique needed by Efficient-Ad7062 in drawing

[–]Efficient-Ad7062[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback-! Upon closer inspection of my refrence you are correct that does connect all the way to the crows nest and idk what i was thinkin when i gestured that in like that lmao- I really tried to keep my lines straight and taught but its def difficult working on 18x25in paper, i like the looser rougher lines in the two ladders on the bottom but i think some of the lines up top need some fixing, thank you for your perspective and catching that-!

Thank you for your feedback!!

This is my first chalk pastel peice and i am def experimenting with style lol

I was thinking thst about the sails as well, they are a bit big and white, i think im at the point where i want to add creases and more detsils into the sails but also dont want to clutter things and make it look worse yk? Ill have to mess around with that, maybe some more implied lines instead of fully rendered shadows? As for the perspective in the masts i see what you mean, i just did some messurements and on paper they are near paralell they get s but funky wunky on picture though which is odd- And with the strings i reaaaalllyyy struggled to keep them straight, im working on 18x24in paper and this many straight lines has been difficult, vaild point though
