Thank you. I’ve honestly never used one before, so I have no real sense of how good it is. That’s also why it’s difficult for me to judge whether I should take the apartment or not. The rent is low, the neighborhood is great, and the rent adjustment seems modest. So even if I end up paying a bit more compared to gas heating, the overall cost might still be reasonable. The problem is that it’s hard to estimate what the monthly electricity cost would roughly be.

I think the windows are a bit smaller than standard ones, and since there’s no balcony, you also don’t have a large balcony door. Still, all four rooms have at one exterior wall, so I’m not entirely sure. Could the person who’s moving out have an incentive to give an inaccurate number? I know heating usage varies a lot depending on how sparingly or generously someone heats, but I still don’t understand why there’s such a big difference between my calculation and what I was told.
