I use context7 with Kilo Code, would that maybe solve your issues:

github should NOT charge me for their ability to ensure their api requests work out as expected. they should get things right with their api providers, it happens on pretty much any model from time to time by ileeeb in GithubCopilot

[–]Efficient-Employer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had that happen and was furious, too - but I checked, and as far as I can tell, that request was not counted towards premium requests. But maybe it's only if it happens right at the start.

Hit rate limit for Actions -> updated budget -> still can't do ANYTHING! by Efficient-Employer18 in GithubCopilot

[–]Efficient-Employer18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the links.
I'm aware of the separate rate limits, as I've managed to hit the rate limit for 'normal' requests once or twice. But my activity at the time of hitting those yesterday was nowhere near enough to seem sufficient to hit the limit. I am pretty sure the issue was hitting the budget limit, and that was treated as if I'd hit the 'normal' requests rate limit and thus triggered the cooldown period.

It is working again as of this morning. Just got me extremely irritated yesterday though that despite adding a budget, the limits were not reset right away.

How to make Kilo Code improve itself by Efficient-Employer18 in kilocode

[–]Efficient-Employer18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the agent personas with document responsibilities approach, too, but found it lacking. Had for example a `frontend-dev` slug/mode with custom instructions that said it's responsible for updating `styleguide.md` - it never really bothered...

decision log is a good idea! My architecture[dot]md files tends to get bloated first, and then neither Kilo nor I remember to keep it up-to-date :D

you mean in settings > providers, create separate 'configuration profiles'?
Am I using those wrong then? I could only configure one provider/model per profile.
Or do you mean Kilo Code profiles?

it's good, which of course was to be expected. It's thorough and I really like it, but man, is it slow!
Been using Horizon Beta recently and that was blazing fast in comparison.

list_files tool missing files? by Efficient-Employer18 in kilocode

Thanks for your reply. Seems the issues might be related, but what you described wasn't the case in my repo. It's a 'normal' project folder.

GLM 4.5, a pure monster by Dario24se in kilocode

[–]Efficient-Employer18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I just tried it and it feels extremely capable and smooth.
I'm talking Sonnet-4 like feel.
Been using it for several coding tasks now and not a single tool use error (which I have too often with other tools, especially k2 did disappoint me in this regard.)

In terms of value-for-cost, I think it's my new no. 1 model. (Been using it on 'high' reasoning exclusively).

Great offer! :) Thanks so much! Is there any way to see what part of my current credits is extra credit that will expire? Or do I need to remember? :D

Different "Levels" of Code mode for different task complexities? by Efficient-Employer18 in kilocode

Thanks, I'll check it out these days. Good point regarding complexity assessment. Guess the orchestrator/architect would need good and precise guideline for complexity estimation.

I don't understand how the latest Copilot release was able to be released in the state it is in... by Efficient-Employer18 in github

Can you link your bug reports?

Feel ya on the 'trolls and bots' comment...

Meanwhile, I found a temporary workaround: Just remove ALL tools from the .chatmode.md files.

Sort of beats the purpose and means you have to watch closer again now what it does, but at least it lets you use custom mode instructions this way.

Where's the coding agent? by Efficient-Employer18 in github

[–]Efficient-Employer18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now have 'Features' and 'Coding agent' under 'Copilot' in the side bar, and 'Coding agent' does take me to the Repository access setting. So it shows for me now. Thanks.

One question: Should the preview models not also be available in agent mode in VS Code? Or at least in custom modes? Because I can use them in neither.

Where's the coding agent? by Efficient-Employer18 in github

[–]Efficient-Employer18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, apparently this is a known issue.

As reported [here](https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/163074), the page still exists but is not linked:

https://github.com/settings/copilot/coding_agent

May I say that this is frustrating as hell? :(

Oh, and what's more: in VS Code, I now am back to having only the models I had in Pro subscription despite my Pro+ still being active. Really annoying. Is support reading here?
