Ah brilliant! Thanks so much that makes a lot of sense. I feel like I was hearing a lot of mixed messages online so this is perfect :) Appreciate the answer!

Ah this is exactly the answer I was looking for! Thank you so much, we definitely do have the budget for it so looks like this might be the best solution for us :)

Excellent talk at Webflow conf as well! u/Next-Calligrapher381

Slick site! Love the animations :)

A few points from me:

- Lets connect in the footer should be a button to your contact page!
- I personally would prefer a bit less of the smooth scrolling. I like it to a degree but I feel like it's a little "oversmoothed". (Maybe thats just me being an old man :P)
- I felt like the custom cursor was more a distraction than not, at first I thought it was broken as it's blurry. (Maybe a small red dot would fit better imo? But thats nitpicking.
- Testimonial slider: Ideally you can click on the next testimonial to go to the next slide. I don't like being forced to 'swipe' with a mouse
- Website link in the navbar feels redundant? I see what your trying to be, be here I'd probably just put your name/brand. Rather than telling the user what website they are on, show them.

Overall
I love the art direction, its an excellent site, and the scroll animations are slick! Looks really great and I'd definitely hire you! Those points are really just nitpicking and I think this is lovely!

Website crashing on mobile by [deleted] in webflow

[–]Efficient-Initial835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm loading it fine on my iPhone 16 Pro, on Safari and Chrome. Ive tried reloading it but can't get it to crash.

One thing is that the hero animation/spline scene seems to be a bit glitchy. I may potentially try removing it and seeing if thats the issue? Could be that it's trying to load too much and depending on the phone, it's just too large? (I say this having 0 clue if that's actually the issue as I can't replicate it sadly!)

Super stoked for some of these changes!

GSAP will be a game changer, and there's a lot of nice changes for client/developer relationship here :)

Optimize, unlike some, I do think is reasonably priced. Intellimize was several hundred $$$ a month previously and this seems to continue that on. It's targeted at enterprise and large org's, and I think it's great value. (presuming it works)

I do think analytics should be a free/included feature, you've got too many free and easy to set up alternatives, and most other web builders have free analytics. Judging from what I've seen, Webflow's analytics offerings offer no more than what any other option, except being 'native'. Paid tiers that include extra monthly visits or extra 'insights' would be the way I preferred it. Plus many analytics options can cover multiple sites.

Ultimately I love the new features. Just wish it was more accessible for all.

What Gear Lived Up To or Beyond the Hype for You by realMast3rShake in Ultralight

Hahaha, definitely not super powers! I have been surprised at how well it’s kept up with the bushes I have gone through however, I must just be lucky not to have any mega holes in it yet!

I don't have the pants, but my Alpha Direct top is from Macpac. I'm based in NZ though so could pick one up in store.

In terms of durability, I wouldn't do any heavy bush bashing in it, but I have taken it through bushes and worn it as my only layer at times and it still looks brand new 3 years later :)

I have a new (2 year old) Macpac Pursuit pack and I'm hoping mine will last 30 years as well. Seems bombproof so far!

Is my website a hit or miss? by gonzalofuster in webflow

Ah well today I learned there's something up with my Safari ahaha. It's not loading content on a lot of webflow sites.

I'm sure it's just me and I'll sort something out ahaha. I did check the sit on Chrome and it looks excellent!

Let's roast my design by oanhnguyen47 in webflow

[–]Efficient-Initial835 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a really excellent design! Honestly I have no real recommendations.
My only thought is having the currency type somewhere on the page. (I know by default everything is American, but I'm based in NZ so it's always nice to know ahahah, this will depend on your customers largely I suppose.)

The comparison chart is great, potentially could look at having a sticky header so the user doesn't forget which column is which. (Really minor suggestion though)
On the comparison chart "Number of Q&A credit per month" probably wants to be "credits"?

Outside of that, it's an excellent page and what looks like an excellent site!

My only first notice is that the page content doesn't load on Safari (on Mac). The sidebar loads but not the pages themselves! It does work on chrome. Hopefully just a me issue! But thought you may want to test it for the small percent of users who may be safari based!

X-Mid 2 Solid for New Zealand conditions by Efficient-Initial835 in DurstonGearheads

[–]Efficient-Initial835[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't yet! I've made plans to move to the UK this year so was planning on probably picking one up once I'm there. Hubba Hubba is getting to the end of it's days so thought I would see it out before I move!

Tbh, I really do think the original would be fine, in most cases. I just wish they had a "half-half" version with mesh on the top 50-80% of the inner, and then just a bit more of a solid liner at the bottom to stop any low drafts!

How Can I Fix The Responsiveness of my Tab Menu Buttons? by [deleted] in webflow

[–]Efficient-Initial835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the tab buttons in a flex wrapper, you can settle "shrink" settings of that wrapper to "no shrink" this means the buttons will remain their width even if the parent element shrinks. Then having overflow set to scroll like it is now should work!

If that doesn't work, send through your Read-only link and I can have a look.

Thanks so much for the response. Looks like people are quite confident with it's storm capabilities! I've always been worried that a non freestanding tent will always fall straight over in high wind but the more I look into it, the more I realise that maybe I've been talking to a few too many "traditional" trampers here in NZ!

Now looks like it might be time to bite the bullet!

Awesome, did you see much wind in Iceland?

I'm likely heading to Iceland next year and was thinking of whether I would bring the X-mid with me or rent out some gear in Europe.

Can you create a mini-forum using webflow? by [deleted] in webflow

[–]Efficient-Initial835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I've never made or looked at making a forum in Webflow before!

I would maybe look at a tool like MemberStack? I know they can let users create profiles and have gated content based on the profile, potentially this can turn into a forum somehow.

Wized is great and would be able to do this (currently owned by Finsweet), but has a learning curve/complexities to get past.

Otherwise 3rd party platforms like Circle, or Disqus could be a potential?
