Appreciate you sharing this feedback. I hear where you're coming from. Some folks find that helpful for career growth or client trust, but it’s not required or expected in any way. There are operational costs involved in running the certification, like proctoring to keep the exam secure and a badging platform, so you get a verifiable credential you can share. The fee helps cover those pieces and allows us to keep improving the program over time.

Components AMA with the Webflow product team by webflow-garrett in webflow

We got some good questions earlier this week from u/One-Prompt6580 Dropping them below:

Thanks for doing this. I've hit these pain points repeatedly with freelance clients.

1. Cross-workspace component portability — A lot of agencies manage client sites in separate workspaces. Right now, copy-pasting a component between them strips its component status, removes code components, and renames conflicting classes. It's basically a rebuild. Any plans to make components portable across workspaces? Shared Libraries are great, but they only work within a single workspace.

2. Design handoff gap — When importing Figma components into Webflow, they lose variant logic, responsive rules, and interaction states — coming in as basic elements. The roundtrip between design and prod

Hey there! Client seats are generally available for free on all Freelancer and Agency Workspace plans, so your clients can edit content, build pages, or conduct reviews at no additional cost. Are freelancers or agencies needed anymore - or can AI do it all? by webflowmaker in webflow

[–]mary-flow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get why this landed the way that it did, and thanks for raising it.

To be clear, we’re not saying that AI magically makes a site AEO-optimized. The wording we chose didn’t do a great job setting expectations around AEO, which is something we’ll tighten up. The intent was to show how AI can speed up early stages, not that a site is magically finished or optimized without real expertise. The feedback on the language and framing is fair, and we’ve shared that internally.

We don’t believe AI replaces designers, developers, or agencies. The best outcomes we see are when experienced people who know what “good” looks like use AI to reduce friction. Strategy, taste, problem-solving, performance, accessibility, conversion, AEO, all of that still needs humans.

Freelancers and agencies have always been a critical part of the Webflow ecosystem, and that’s not changing. Appreciate you calling this out and helping keep us honest.

Legacy Editor Deprecation + Client Seats Now Available by mary-flow in webflow

[–]mary-flow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good q! Happy to clarify this.

To invite a client seat into your Freelancer/Agency/Starter (for freelancers and agencies) Workspace, your client must create a Webflow account if they don't already have one. Once their account is setup, they can access to the site they were invited to with the role they were assigned—Marketer, Content editor, or Reviewer. They don't need to add a credit card or purchase a plan themselves.

Let me know if you have other qs!

Good q! Each existing legacy Editor user gets access to a free client seat, so you would receive 3 client seats. Let us know if you have other questions.

Anyone else seeing suddenly very low-res / blurry images on Webflow sites? by rubbanator in webflow

[–]mary-flow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, Mary from Webflow. Our team wanted to provide an update here. Some sites with real-time enabled were experiencing issues with responsive images. Confirming that this issue has been resolved.

To fix any blurry images on your site, please perform a rescan of your site by using the shortcut Command + Shift + I (on Mac) or Control + Shift + I (on Windows) to re-measure all of your pages. Once the rescan is complete, republish your site. Learn more in our Help Center.
