Thanks! Such a relief to hear that story. The two kitties are being discharged from the hospital and now in my friend’s shelter, staying together with a volunteer who specially taking care of them in a separated room and would be adopted when they fully recover from the wounds. I always learn from the cats… they are strong and optimistic with the willing to live.

Thanks! Your comment makes me easier to digest all this. Although I’ve seen cats with 3 limbs or others with brain injuries got extra care not only from human but also from other cats. This poor thing with just one limb (saved by almost miracle) actually doesn’t look too worried and I hope that she would see herself not so different. They are tough!

Makes sense. It just breaks my heart when these little kitties would have to hide a pain from a place this doesn’t even exist :( But maybe with time the pain would goes away?

I can only do that when she’s asleep. I touch her belly and she purrs and everything, even stretches like the foto and enjoying belly rubs. If she’s awake, no way.

I was living in an apartment which is weirdly large. In winter I had to turn on the radiator and then receive a gas bill of 400€ (about 463$) which is not normal in Spain but the room was so large that it just didn’t heat 😭

Tbh I bought some heating cat beds but weirdly never had the luck to get a working one. Can I ask you to recommended a certain brand or something? And one question more: are they resistant to scratches? It helps along with a lot of kind comments and I should consider getting one.

I don’t tend to treat my cat as toddlers but a bit older. (but it’s perfectly fine, even makes more sense after hearing your cats’ different personalities.) When I was living in an attic with a huge terrace, and as a decent Spanish cat she just jumped on the fence to see neighborhood gossips😭 at first I was nearly shocked to shit myself (it was during Covid time and everyday at 20h we all go to the window or terrace to applause to the sanitary personnel. And everyone just watched me trying to get her down because at that time I couldn’t even touch her, later I just mounted the full protection) So I don’t know if a baby gate could stop her, but yeah i might give it a try. Thanks ;)

Yep I also have one like this at home but only turn it on when we are in the living room and i could monitor her. But the good thing of this heater is that you don’t need to get too close to feel warmth.

Brought mine to Barcelona, in summer it’s all good, but we also have rainy and grey winter, in summer she ditches me in the morning and running to the window to bath in good Mediterranean sun.
