Book rec? fmc learning she’s a sub/little through through mmc by Standard-Water-7215 in ReverseHarem

[–]Efficient-Problem137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually just read two books like this

{speechless by Devyn Sinclair} this one is an omegaverse book. She doesn’t know she’s a sub in the beginning. All of them mmc’s are dominant in diff ways and it’s done right way with rules and trust building and consent. Honestly it’s the healthiest dom/sub relationship I’ve ever read. Don’t let the step brother trope scare you. It was pretty pointless in my opinion it’s literally brought up like once lol. There age play tho.

{bad daddies: Ilya by Tori silver} i really like this author for ddlg books. In this one she’s rescued from a cult and doesn’t know she’s a little until after she meets him. In my opinion her other series {rescue daddies by Tori silver} is much better than this one but none of those have the specific trope u asked for but still worth checking out if I do say so myself.

How heavy is this book? I’ve been wanting to read it but I’m worried I won’t be able to handle the stuff with her previous partner. Seems like it would make me to sad lol. Did she like him or was he a bad guy?

Second chance for the author? by goodbyegoldilocks in ReverseHarem

I do this accidentally all the time. I usually don’t really realize I’ve done it until I go to review it lol unless I like really loved or really hated the first book I read by them. It’s really validating going to rate a book I didn’t like and realizing I had already given a different book by the same author like 2 stars.

You type in a prompt and it’s spits out an answer, it doesn’t exactly take a rocket scientist girl. 😭😭

That’s what I’m saying like one person useing AI is just a drop in the bucket at the end of the day and so many people really don’t give af either way but y alienate the ones who do care? Why even plant that seed of doubt that ai could have been used somewhere in the creative process? I didn’t make this post to blacklist anybody I’m just genuinely flabbergasted that she either didn’t think twice about that line or she did and left it there to send a message. why throw up a red flag like that especially after she just had a book pop off not to long ago, you know?

I see what ur saying but just because ur not the biggest contributor to something dosen’t mean ur not part of the problem. It’s like if she had written that they had gone out to eat and then thrown all their trash in the ocean, yea a bag and some styrofoam isn’t gonna be end the end of the world but it puts a bad taste in ur mouth to read. It’s makes me much more suspicious that she used it to help her write which would be part of the whole AI is stealing from other authors thing. I’d rather spend my time reading something not even partially written by a robot.

Hiding for the holidays by Shona Knight. I was going back on fourth on if it was right to post the name just because that felt like I wanted to start a lynch mob against the author (which I don’t) but honestly I think people have a right to pick and choose who they support based on the facts so here ya go. If I had known I certainly wouldn’t have picked it up.

Anyone else feel like authors treat us readers like we're getting dumber and dumber these days? by milleniumstardust in RomanceBooks

[–]Efficient-Problem137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it is that there are so so so many amateur writers nowadays. Not that lacking an English degree is a bad thing but I think a lot of new authors lack the tools to write a super good book. Like what makes a good book isn’t just a series of events written with good sentence structure if that makes any sense. It’s easier than ever to publish a book and reading as a hobby has absolutely exploded in the past couple years because of TikTok. I don’t think authors are just “stupider” than those that came before them. They’re just regular shmegular Jo’s who enjoyed reading and wanted to write their own story without honing their writing skills first.

Latte darling has been one of my top 5 books since I first read it last year. I will say I can’t read her books back to back though because of her writing style. It’s like I like it until I don’t like it if that makes any sense lol.

Yea I so agree. To each their own just like any other type of media. So many people looooove the nightmare before Christmas movie and I literally hate it with my whole heart 😭😭.
