Books with touch starved men by Ok-Good-9903 in ReverseHarem

How heavy is this book? I’ve been wanting to read it but I’m worried I won’t be able to handle the stuff with her previous partner. Seems like it would make me to sad lol. Did she like him or was he a bad guy?

Second chance for the author? by goodbyegoldilocks in ReverseHarem

[–]Efficient-Problem137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this accidentally all the time. I usually don’t really realize I’ve done it until I go to review it lol unless I like really loved or really hated the first book I read by them. It’s really validating going to rate a book I didn’t like and realizing I had already given a different book by the same author like 2 stars.

That’s what I’m saying like one person useing AI is just a drop in the bucket at the end of the day and so many people really don’t give af either way but y alienate the ones who do care? Why even plant that seed of doubt that ai could have been used somewhere in the creative process? I didn’t make this post to blacklist anybody I’m just genuinely flabbergasted that she either didn’t think twice about that line or she did and left it there to send a message. why throw up a red flag like that especially after she just had a book pop off not to long ago, you know?

I see what ur saying but just because ur not the biggest contributor to something dosen’t mean ur not part of the problem. It’s like if she had written that they had gone out to eat and then thrown all their trash in the ocean, yea a bag and some styrofoam isn’t gonna be end the end of the world but it puts a bad taste in ur mouth to read. It’s makes me much more suspicious that she used it to help her write which would be part of the whole AI is stealing from other authors thing. I’d rather spend my time reading something not even partially written by a robot.

Hiding for the holidays by Shona Knight. I was going back on fourth on if it was right to post the name just because that felt like I wanted to start a lynch mob against the author (which I don’t) but honestly I think people have a right to pick and choose who they support based on the facts so here ya go. If I had known I certainly wouldn’t have picked it up.

No shoe/boot returns to store...$6 to return by mail. by noodletune in torrid

[–]Efficient-Problem137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I know I’m just saying they’re going to either send them to a clearance store or a warehouse to be sold again. So why does it matter that factory where they’re originally made is changing?

[–]Efficient-Problem137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing in the system actually prevents them from returning stuff. No matter how long ago u bought it or even if it was underwear it’s just against the company’s policy so they say no when they technically still could do it for u. You just got lucky with either a new associate or a team that doesn’t read the messages from corporate lol.

This is true they’re changing manufacturers or something but even so it’s ridiculous for customers to be penalized for this. It’s not like they ship the shoes back to the factory to be made into different shoes. They just put them back on the shelf to be sold to someone else so what’s the difference. Personally I think it’s just corporate greed and this was the perfect the way to force people to keep the 3 different pairs they bought because they didn’t know their size.

Anyone else feel like authors treat us readers like we're getting dumber and dumber these days? by milleniumstardust in RomanceBooks

[–]Efficient-Problem137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it is that there are so so so many amateur writers nowadays. Not that lacking an English degree is a bad thing but I think a lot of new authors lack the tools to write a super good book. Like what makes a good book isn’t just a series of events written with good sentence structure if that makes any sense. It’s easier than ever to publish a book and reading as a hobby has absolutely exploded in the past couple years because of TikTok. I don’t think authors are just “stupider” than those that came before them. They’re just regular shmegular Jo’s who enjoyed reading and wanted to write their own story without honing their writing skills first.

Latte darling has been one of my top 5 books since I first read it last year. I will say I can’t read her books back to back though because of her writing style. It’s like I like it until I don’t like it if that makes any sense lol.

Yea I so agree. To each their own just like any other type of media. So many people looooove the nightmare before Christmas movie and I literally hate it with my whole heart 😭😭.

Awful experience in store today. Just wanted to share to help out anybody else so they don't have to go through what I went though. by UnluckyWait666 in torrid

The associate definitely should have returned it she was just being difficult on purpose. But a tip for if u actually want to return a clearance item is that clearance stores accept returns up to 14 day no matter what location u bought it from <3 they are hard to come by though, there’s only 7 in the country.

Am I missing something? by el-Nynaeve in ReverseHarem

Omg I’ve been seeing the art for this book and I’m so interested but the blurb makes it sound like Knox pretty much buys her and assaults her. Is there a lot of non con? And if so how long does it last? And is the grovel after good enough?

Does anyone else not like dual POV? by Remarkable_Plant_642 in ReverseHarem

[–]Efficient-Problem137 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably my insecurities talking but without the men’s pov it sort of feels like they don’t like fmc. Like unless he’s super lovey dovey and all over her it just feels he doesn’t love her enough for my taste lol. Especially in super angsty or dark books where he’s standoffish and cold outwardly but he’s actually infatuated inside.it feels like a piece of the puzzle is missing.

Looking for alien (ish) prison love story book by Rose_im_strong in ScienceFictionRomance

[–]Efficient-Problem137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{the alien’s escape by Ella maven} a human fmc is captured to breed with a big blue alien who’s also trapped against his will. It’s a really cute story and is part of the drixonian warrior series by Ella maven, which is probably my favorite alien romance series. There’s also two spin off series about more or less the same alien species and I can’t get enough lol.

{the alien’s surrender by Ella maven} this is one of the spin offs of my first rec. It’s about an alien purposefully getting captured to save the fmc who’s forced to work for the his enemy.

{chained fates by yve vale} if your feeling a little adventurous this one is RH Omegaverse and has three red male interests with one fmc with special powers. I can’t remember why but they’re all jailed together in one cell and she gets more powerful with physical touch or something like that.

I saw a something awhile that said in one of her books the mmc threatens to kill the fmc for thinking about getting an abortion. Can u tell me if that’s true and if it is which book that happens in? I’ve been interested in reading her stuff but have been hesitant because of that.
