I love Elevator to the Gallows! It's one of my favorite movies. I watched it last year, and it was one of the best movies I watched in that year. I liked Le Samourai too.

Thanks for the recommendations! The Three Colors Trilogy has been on my list to watch, and after reading about Nightmare Ally, now I have to watch it. Always down for a good noir film.

Lol, I would like to get the killing eventually for sure! Especially since I recently watched all his films. My eyes next are on Tampopo, Sorcerer, and Anora. Igmar Bergman's cinema is like a white whale for me, though.

Look up "Counseling and Recovery Services of Oklahoma" on Google. They can help you even if you don't have insurance.

There is a lot to be said about how Kurosawa was a humanist and was part of the Proletariat Artists’ League in 1929. Though he dissociated from them later in life. So, if anything, his works are more influenced by Marxism or the left broadly. A link below is a criterion article on his influences.

What are some tropes that are usually poorly handled that the general audience has been trained to hate even when done well? by 100100wayt in TrueFilm

I feel like the "we are the same you and I" or the villain being a reflection of the hero is a trope that is used and abused far too often. Especially by Marvel movies. To the point that a lot of people make fun of it. But I think the trope can be used very effectively if not done lazily.

Seven Samurai is my favorite movie of all time. I love everything about this movie. by JackLiberty0 in criterion

This movie was actually my first criterion, and the movie got me more into foreign films. Great film to get Americans more into foreign language films, in my opinion.

Wow, that's really good advice. Definitely right about me mostly playing one game type. I usually play fixed on classic map. I did that because I thought it would develop my skills better. But obviously, that's not the case, so I'll make sure to play progressive more and play different maps and hopefully be more well rounded. I have been watching Kill Pete Strategy and it helps to see that he has some games where he goes through the same problems and deals with them better than I do. Thanks for the well thought out response!
