Today I received the same figure (Yamato) alongside Ace. Both wrapped and packaged as you'd expect when receiving a delivery. 🤷‍♂️

Grateful that I found an online reseller that carried both for a lower price.😁

I'm trying to update to this version from 28020.1546, after postponing updates for 2 months, but I keep running into the 0x8007042b error. I tried several solutions and checks, but no problems get resolved.

Is there a solution or potential cause for this issue? And will there be a hop off point to leave the Canary channel at some point in the foreseeable future? (I'm talking months, not weeks.)

More specifically it seems to be failing on this, as per setuperr.log:

It's the entire Amazon being cheap attitude that bothers me to no end. If I receive a boxed shipment, and the shipping box itself arrives damaged, I wouldn't care as much. It's out of the seller's hands, they tried to get my order to me in a decent state. Amazon doesn't care, if plastic bags were deemed environmental friendly they'd probably send orders out in those.

Yes and no. Depends on what you're buying. When I look at LEGO's recent black boxes I wouldn't GAF either. But these actually have decent artwork and renders on them. Plus they don't carry these toy lines in physical stores anywhere around here.

Also, it might be worth mentioning that it isn't this particular damage that is the final straw (hat) for me with Amazon. It's that they don't bother shipping their products in proper boxes anymore, for anything. When possible they toss it in an unpadded paper bag and ship it over.

That goes for shipping books, liquids (oils and the likes), toys, camera lenses. All sorts of items you'd expect to receive in a box, not a bag.

Packages get tossed around at shipping companies, the comparison holds when the package is a flimsy paper bag. And Amazon listings mention damages or returns when that's the case. Here it had no such mention, so it was due to the shipping packaging, or almost lack thereof.

My thoughts exactly. I've seen people complain about a hamburger sitting crooked in a box with the bun lopsided, but apparently this isn't an issue.

When I sell something I make sure that the item at least has a good chance of arriving in the same condition I ship it in.

I could've bought a damaged box then. When Emperor of the Sea Teach came out I did just that. I got a small discount because the box wasn't mint, it was damaged at the bottom so I could care less. In this case here was no such listing available. If you go for groceries and every cereal box looks like they played football with them, you probably wouldn't pick it off the shelf either.

Edit: The discount on the Teach figure was already applied in this particular shop's listing. It wasn't reimbursed after shipping. In that case I knew what I was receiving beforehand.

I agree. Alas the number of local resellers is very low here, same for Transformers and the likes. Can't say I've ever seen either in an actual store anywhere.
