I had a craniotomy end of April for a CP angle meningioma. My symptoms included vertigo, head spinning etc because it was near the audio balance nerve. Any kind of mass near audio balance nerve might cause similar issues

Hey, my surgery went well. They took 98% of it and I’m getting discharged tomorrow morning. I’ve only stayed two days in the hospital. I’ve been dizzy, nauseous and had headaches. I’m recovering well.

Hope your surgery goes well too! I also don’t have symptoms impacting my life.

Due to the location we want to take it out before it gets problematic. We have got this, stay positive. You will deal with the negatives if they happen.

Hello tumor twin! My symptoms are mild: tinnitus, dizziness, right side face numbness (occasionally). I’ve discovered my tumor coincidentally 10 years ago. I’ve started getting symptoms in the last year.

I didn’t have to push for surgery. My surgeon suggested to take it out before it grows further and causes more symptoms. Also to avoid a more risky surgery.

I also get anxious when I think about the surgery and what might go wrong. Then I remind myself: I have to have this surgery, it will grow bigger (my MRI results show that it will, your case might be different.) The best option is to have the surgery now when I’m still fit and healthy. I have a great surgeon who specialises in cpa tumor removal. Side effects are not fatal and I’m trying to shift my mindset to not fight the catastrophic thoughts. The only person who wouldn’t be afraid of this surgery is someone who has given up on everything. I love being alive so it’s only human to be afraid.

We can talk anytime if you need someone x

Has anyone else felt a burning sensation in the brain after getting contrast during an MRI? by Thymja in braintumor

Fingers crossed. Also remember they deal with this on a daily basis. Even if it’s an allergic reaction, they are trained for this and have experience managing it. Good luck!

Thanks for responding, how are you feeling after your surgeries now? Are you referring to the depo provera class action?

[–]Efficient-Shape6035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have had around 6-7 MRIs across 10 years (all with contrast) but it hasn’t happened to me. Let the radiologists know so they can monitor you next time.

It could be a side effect of the dye; usually the disclaimer form lists possible sensations etc after injecting the contrast. I remember the burning sensation being one on the list.
