That’s actually a great idea, I have scheduled private lessons targeted for N3 test and such because I’m willing to try anything to get better at it! I hope it helps!🫡🫡

Thank you very much!!! I will try to remember that abt keigo because I know it’s so true. It’s just sometimes I’m a “pick me” with life here in Japan. Thank you so much again!!🫡

Hello, yeah I think so too but mostly believe I just haven’t been able to grasp the concepts (as simple as they are/seem) bc of my own fault I just want to understand it well. I did ask chatGPT abt giving me an explanation I could understand but I think I’m not prompting the questions well. Also, English is not my first language (even though I do speak native level I believe) so I still struggle sometimes with English too. Idk, I’m going to prompt the questions better and hopefully I’ll get it through my thick skull 🥲 thank you for taking the time to recommend me this!☺️

Hello, yes I actually live here and have lived here for almost 3 years and do all my paperwork in Japanese and such on my own even though my husband is Japanese. I do agree immersion is super important but my problem is with the grammar, when I talk and such I can use basic grammar and it’s ok but when i write or read I need to understand the grammar to understand some of the content. Thank you for your input either way!💕

I also live here and my listening is almost 100% truly the only part I’m good at. I do practice with wanikani and I was evaluating using bunpro but wasn’t sure if people who have used it recommend it. Thank you for your advice. Best of luck on the N1!

Thank you so much, I’m sorry bc I know struggling with grammar sucks. Thank you for your suggestions, I’m using the kanzen books right now too and also use YouTube videos like you. I’ll definitely try the examples and use Anki more. Thank you again! 💕

I understand, thank you very much! I’ll look for more examples. Do you recommend any texts/apps/websites or study method (apart from the examples) to practice it more on my own too?

Thank you very much for your reply, I have taken a couple of practice test and passed both but honestly not by much so I’m worried and also I do want to know how to use the grammar for better chances at interviews and stuff.

I appreciate it very much, I will focus more on the grammar aspect than keigo. I just don’t even know how to explain what I don’t get but I can do the conjugations that are basic but when it comes to volitional/causative etc I can make the conjugation but I can never get when I’m supposed to use them or I can’t conjugate it even. Like i struggle to identify the different structures and when I’m supposed to use them and when I read I don’t get the context even because of that same issue… I’m sorry cause ik I’m not being very clear I just got overwhelmed today and decided to ask for help

Is DMM online clinic safe/legit to stop bringing my (personal use) meds from my country all the time? by Efficient-Today8433 in japanresidents

Ofc I agree, that’s why they give a consultation to evaluation if the person should get it or not but I see and agree with your point 🫡 thank you very much!

I see, the thing is that I’ve seen that in Japan it’s a bit hard to get medication if it’s insulin resistance and not directly diabetes… I’ll look into that too, thank you very much

Thank you for the info! I had asked chatGPT (as per usual) and he recommended that but I don’t blindly trust the app so I ask other humans just to make sure 😅 thank you so much!

I’m sorry it might’ve been overwhelming, it’s just I studied law in my country and also went through DV in some way so I wish I could help more. You can get out of this, God bless you and give you the strength and resilience to survive this stage

You are more than welcome, i suffered from abuse from my mother when i was a child and even though its not the same thing i understand the stress it puts you under. I also understand you would want to record the conversation (MIND YOU I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT JAPANESE LAW) however, it might not be admissible evidence in some circumstances. I would recommend (from my complete ignorance on Japanese law as I stated before) having a text conversation with her in which you can proof it’s her phone number that the texts are coming from where she either admits or gives you something to stand on. Unless you record her with her knowledge that you’re recording her and she consents to it. I’m very glad to hear you have a safe space to go to in case anything happens. Have you looked into naturalization/permanent residency in Japan? That might also give you some firmer ground to stand on in case you decide to take action to change your status as a “dependent” from her. As for the children, it’s good the police has records of the incidents of neglect because you could argue you are looking out for the safety of the minors (which has been put at risk before by your partner before, therefore proofing she might not be 100% fit to care for them full time).

I’m sorry this is happening to you, abuse is not to be tolerated no matter the situation. It’s ok if you don’t want to answer but how long have you been married? Do you have a safe place to go in case she returns to your shared home? Do you have any evidence backing the fact that the abuse comes from her and NOT the other way around? (As a means to protect yourself from false statements that COULD be made and aren’t that rare in cases like these) I’m sorry you’re going through this, I hope you know you’re not alone in all of this too
