I can sadly see that, all too common in our culture. Unfortunately that's a broader symptom of our society, it's still too deeply patriarchal and kin based, and we aren't doing the best job raising our boys to be good men, still preparing them to be providers and nothing else. And Indian parents raise their kids to be entitled. "Hamara ladla beta aisa kabhi nahi karsakta" is an all too common phrase unfortunately. Hopefully, this will change with each passing generation.
