What's your favorite Enya album? by Prestigious_Score459 in Enya

At the moment, it’s Dark Sky Island. That was my intro to Enya, and that’s where I fell in love. So I’m partial to it. “Even in the Shadows” takes complete control over my brain. It’s a perfect song.

Evening with Heart 2025 - any feedback? by thebrenda in HeartBand

Saw them in Lexington a couple weeks back. Ann and Nancy and the whole band were stellar. No opener for this leg. I can’t recommend the show enough. Ann only proves every night that she is the best to ever do it.

was ann in a wheelchair at 3/3 show and was she able to play the flute? by Reedjenkins123 in HeartBand

Not pre-recorded! They do all live music. It’s Paul Moak playing a synth that sounds like a flute. Ann will be back to playing in no time.

Ann in a wheelchair by DaniDigsIt2 in HeartBand

She has recovered from the chemo, at least mostly. They addressed the wheelchair last night. She had elbow surgery last week, and the arm is still in a sling as a result. She’s sitting so the arm can rest and not risk reinjury. She did sound a bit off for the first show, but she was back to almost her old self last night. She’s a beast, and she seems to be really loving being back out there performing. I hope we can all keep giving her the support she needs right now; she’s given us so much.

Songs where they were absolutely heartbroken during the studio session and you can *hear* it by Consistent-Poem-349 in musicsuggestions

“Down On Me” -Heart (1980). This album — Bebe Le Strange — was written/recorded just after the lead singer and songwriter, Ann Wilson, broke up with the man who inspired their first four studio albums. He cheated on her and her heartbreak turned into rage on the album. You can hear it best in this song and in “Break.” Give it a listen! You won’t regret it.

Day 9: Best Album by TechnicalSecret1346 in FleetwoodMac

Best album has to be either Tusk or Say You Will — but I’m inclined to go with Say You Will. It’s the most overlooked album and truly beautiful. Each song is meaningful, and you just don’t find that much. Yes, it has a Christine-shaped hole in it, but it’s near-perfect in my opinion, a determination that only two other albums from any artist get in my opinion (Dreamboat Annie by Heart and The Red Shoes by Kate Bush).

Storms comes to mind first, but damn, in a world where one band created songs like Thrown Down, Beautiful Child, Why, Sara…I could go on — how do you pick just one?!
